February really is the worst. In the interest of good public mental health there should be a moratorium on bad reviews during the month of February.
I've gotten a bunch of them.
God, I hate to be whinny and self indulgent, but I feel bad. I'm having about the worst crisis of confidence I've has since I started writing.
I hope I feel better next week.

Nah, it's fine. It was always the 'bill month' when I was a kid, so I never got presents on my birthday. I always disliked this month...
But like I said, just try new things as you write. If people are not liking it, you'll eventually stumble into something great, and at the very least out of what wasn't so great.

Bad reviews? For WHAT?
1870291 Lately, every time I've needed to get passed a judge or editor or any sort of gate keeper I came up short. My writing just doesn't seem to stand up to critical examination.
You are, for the record, awesome. You've created, by far, the single best OC in fanfiction, and some awesome stories on top of that. You continue to be awesome in February, or any other month. Don't let reviews get you down.
February needs to sometimes be a total write off. I wish the best to any and all that have birthdays in it but for me Feb is when my SAD hits me hard.
