New plan: Long wait but BIG payoff · 1:15pm Feb 5th, 2014
As I mentioned before, I do my best writing in the Spring, but the Spring quarter doesn't start for about 6 weeks, so I've come up with a way to set it up so I'll be able to easily cover all of my chapters in no time flat by doing what I do best: Outlining. Often, when planning for an essay in school, I'll make the outline so detailed that it becomes longer than the final product, because outlining is much easier to handle than just writing from start to finish. Because of that, I've decided that what I'm going to do is write all of my remaining chapters simultaneously by doing them in layers. First, I'll make a Google doc for each one. Next, I'll give each one a very basic outline listing the basic ideas of the chapter, then I'll keep going through them and expanding on them until the outlines are big enough to be quickly converted to narrative format. Once all of them are ready, I'll finish them off. Of course, writing about a dozen chapters at the same time won't be a quick process, but the payoff will be well worth the wait.
