Is it just me, or does Ponies seem to make everything a several ton better. I mean, I am part of ten My little pony role playing chat-rooms, and even host a D&d I home brewed to have ponies. I spend a lot of my day on these little characters, and especially with music.
Before I was a brony, I really did not like most of the music people listened to. Not because I actually hated it, it was cause I didn't even want to give genres a chance. I stuck with one thing, Black Metal (Which is surprising I make fun of most now. Strange.) Classic Rock, and well I was a HUGE fan of Shinedown and Ozzy Ozbourne. Because of this, I really just did not give a genre a second look, just sticking with my own personal tastes, and insulting people for what they liked. This all changed about a year in this fandom. I was listening to music by Pinkie Guy, when I got sent a link to a song called "Rainbow" by Koroshi, or something like that. I ignored it at first, and continued with my life, but when I accidentally clicked the link, the picture was the first thing I really noticed. Rainbow Dash in ethereal light, floating down towards a hand, so instead of despising it cause of it's genre, I gave it a chance. I loved it, and more than loved it, I was obsessed. I had it on repeat on my phone for three days straight, and I started to get into this genre I once hated (rap) but I seemed to not get into anything, unless it was talking about ponies. Maybe my obsession with this show has something to do with it, but besides that, I was opened to all kinds of new ideas of music. I got into theatrical music (my currently favorite genre) and even Dub step, which was once heavily criticized by me.
