What does being a Brony mean to me?

Well, I don't actually have any blogging experience, so if this is ranting I apologize. Before I can get to the main course, I guess I will start with the nitty gritty. I live in Small Town, U.S.A. For this reason Rumors spread fast, and it's not like everyone knows everyone, but your everyone certainly are followers a small group circle within it. Now thinking about it, it's a lot like a Ponyville, just a bit larger. In this place we have both a combination of judgmental pricks, and stuck up chicks. But there are a lot of nice people to make up for that. But when I became a Brony, I was at first very ashamed of myself. I mean, "Why would I like ponies? I am a big kid, with no interest in girly things like makeup (And now that I realize this, I did enjoy a few chick flicks at the time, but shhhh.) So why would I enjoy ponies of all things to enjoy?". While my friends just wanted to talk about porn, me and a selection of friends really just started secret. Just whispering about how much we love these adorable love able creature. Though these conversations made me happy, I just felt like a liar really. I was hiding something, and it was killing me. But if I told anyone, then we might become outcasts. I worried so much about how they will think, about who thought of me, and how did they? So for about a year we kept it shush shush. Just hanging out in the lonely corner, holding our blankets above our heads as we just looked at the vibrant colors that was the happiness of this show. How the characters were just so innocent and kind.
Now that I finished boring you, and now that you are asking yourself, "What does this have to do about being a Brony?" Well my answer is that being a Brony (To me that is) Is like enjoying a show. Now that I look at these numbers, we are all just normal people, who just do the same things other fans of other things do. I mean David Tennant use to write fanfictions about Doctor Who in school. And if you look and Fanfiction, there are more than just ponies. Ones about Pokemon, ones of Digimon, and I have even seen a lot of Adventure Time ones that get at me. So why are we so different? All we are is enjoying our show, and we happen to enjoy spreading love, 'cause as my personal views are. The most important thing on this earth, and in life, is not how much kindness you spread, but that you enjoy life how ever you wish, and follow your true purpose whatever it is.
