So We Got Talking, And... · 8:59am Jan 24th, 2014
So I had my prereader read what I have so far for MLCA's last chapter. Then we started talking about something that took me of-guard:
[11:05:21 PM] Brony_Fife: In my opinion, I think I may have missed opportunities to use Rarity and Fluttershy more.
[11:05:22 PM] Kamineigh: Just feels like it needs more Pinkie.
[11:05:28 PM] Brony_Fife: Neither have done much in MLC.
[11:06:00 PM] Kamineigh: Welp
[11:06:08 PM] Kamineigh: Not like you can shoehorn them in now.
[11:06:15 PM] Brony_Fife: true
[11:06:24 PM] Brony_Fife: and they'll be getting loads of character development later
[11:07:13 PM] Kamineigh: Maybe Fluttershy only appears briefly to look up books on veterinarian sciences
[11:07:30 PM] Kamineigh: Since the vets would no doubt be flooded with injured animals.
[11:08:19 PM] Brony_Fife: ...I never thought about that :O
[11:08:39 PM] Brony_Fife: Who knows how many pets had fallen under Dracula's influence?
[11:08:50 PM] Brony_Fife: But the scattered after the initial attack on Ponyville.
[11:09:00 PM] Brony_Fife: They might still be hiding in Everfree...
And now I feel bad.
Hey don't feel bad Fife. No one person can think of everything. That's what good pre-readers are for.
Also just real quick how are you feeling these days? Everything doing well?
I'm doing really well, actually. I've felt more put-together than usual, and as you might have noticed this month, I've been outputting much more fanfic content -- my first clopfic I'm actually proud to have written (My Way, Your Way, Three Way), a three-chapter short story (The Sun and the Moon), a one-shot (Like A Princess), finally released F-Zero GX after months of plotting the damn thing, released a second chapter to that, and another chapter to NO MORE PONIES. If all goes according to plan, I'll even finally crank out the final chapter to MLCAdventure. That must be at least 20,000 words. IN NOT EVEN ONE MONTH.
I actually wasn't feeling upset by not thinking of where the animals had gone. I was upset because now there's probably some little filly worried about where her puppy went -- or heck, wondering why her pet attacked her parents in the first place. Nopony besides those in charge -- and the Mane Six plus Spike and Shatterstorm -- know about Dracula. So for all they know, this new threat might actually be the end of the world. The more I think about it, the more I realize how really depressing the setting of MLC really is.
1753531 It good to hear that your ok, I'v been doing well my self. As for how depressing MLC's setting can be. Given the crossover. It comes with the territory. Also enjoyed like a princess. Have yet to read the Sun and the Moon, and F-zero severed as a good reminder that the f-zero world goes beyond racing.
Also i'm guessing the events of Bats! are going to have some influence on mlc at some point.
