Hey guys. We all know Aqua Regia is not a nice pony. Heck most of you probably hate her, right? Well, regardless of how we feel about her, Aqua Regia has now been realized in picture format.
Our very own Shachza has made this awesome rendition of her, and if you ask me, it captures her perfectly. Like the rose, she's pretty, but not some one you would want to nuzzle. You can see her holier-than-thou attitude in her eyes and the sneer. Her cutie mark, the acid melting a bar of platinum or silver, especially shows that she has a corrosive personality and that she is not someone to be messed with. He even managed to capture my mental image of both her and her cutie mark. I had considered doing a second picture of her and then animating the two. Kind of like those "shocker" animations where an idyllic scene sits on the screen for a while before suddenly flickering to something scary/horrific, but it'd be mostly this picture of Aqua but would flicker to an image of her sitting, looking completely lost and dumbfounded with tears streaming down her face.

1748080 When I initially wrote out Aqua's character [color scheme and all] I had nitro-hydrochloric acid in mind, including the different colors it came in.
I couldn't be happier with how well it translated in Shachza's art.

Completely unintentional on my part. I was careful to pick a color I considered "light red" without actually being "pink," which is a fine line to walk. I didn't even know nitro-hydrochloric acid's color until after this picture and I got curious as to whether it actually dissolves platinum.
1748008 Ah. Well, I liked it...I just think the coat color could be a bit darker in the red...right now, it looks like putrid flesh, or puke....It's kind of disturbing actually.

This makes me dislike her even more. Which is a good thing, btw.
I would like to point out that silver and especially platinum are very unreactive and wouldn't do much in the face of acid. Which means her volatility is impressively potent.
Dang, it's a shame she's such a bitch. If she had a nicer personality, she'd be quite the looker. Unfortunately, the inner ugly shines through.
Can I take her to the shooting range? She'll have so much fun, she'll never want to leave.

1748805 Aqua Regia can, however, dissolve the so-called Royal, or noble metals, gold and platinum. Silver however, cannot be dissolved by Aqua Regia.
