Someone once said I was passive aggressive. I disagree. I am far too impatient for that. I prefer just being normal aggressive. Don't worry about 'maybe' upsetting me, you will know.

    Coincidence

Hey, you guys remember "Wingover"? Remember the moral, that having raw talent doesn't make you better than people who have to work hard to achieve what you can do easily?

Recently, a new 'Friends Foreever" comic was released, and...

    Ultra 'FML' Rant

As if the title wasn't warning enough, huge, angry rant below.

Well, maybe not angry. I don't think anger has truly formed yet, I'm still mostly in the depression/stunned phase.

The Greatest Story Never Read · 3:56am Jan 13th, 2014

Wow, if that isn't a pretentious title for a blog post, I don't know what is.

So, those of you who are fans of my chaptered story 30 Days of Temptation will know I've been rather quiet on that front lately. Well, I'd been dealing with a bit of doubt about the story, and that lead to me letting it sit around gathering dust.

However, I never leave a story half-finished, especially when I already have ideas moving off from it. I've got quite a few really good questions about the nature of this story, and I felt the desire to answer them here.

The first being why do I call it a Sparity story when Spike barely appears in it? It is a perfectly legitimate question, but I hope the answer makes sense. The idea of a romance between Rarity and Spike requires so much to change from what the show/comics have shown us. Both of them need to change (Spike needs to grow up, Rarity needs to learn how to handle the feelings swirling around their relationship). In such a way, 30 Days isn't a Sparity story, it is more like Rarity's growth towards that relationship.

For those of you who read the story, and have endured what must seem like one giant non-sequitur, I promise you that this story does have a point. This isn't an action story, this is a story about characters accepting truths about themselves, and using them to improve their own lives.

I'd like to think the story has five main characters, each with their own goals and problems that they are trying to overcome. Perhaps you feel a draw to them?

If it is to Rarity's fear and anxiety over her past failures and the scars they left on her and her friends.

Or to Fancy Pants and the double life he hides from all the ponies of Canterlot.

Or to my OCs, Penned Portrait and Scarlet Passion, trying to achieve their dreams while still maintaining their own integrity in a world that would have them cast it aside.

Or perhaps to Princess Luna, whose true struggle is yet to be revealed.

The who doesn't matter. To those few of my fans who enjoy this story, I thank you very much. Know that these last few chapters are dedicated to those of you who stuck with me through the beginning, through all the ups and downs of the story. We're nearing the end, and I hope you enjoy the ride.

Rock on;
-Lumino
