The Walking Dead; Or, My Plans

The planets have aligned, hype has been gathered, and I'm now back. The logical step now is to outline in somewhat more detail what I'm going to be doing, so far as I've actually planned that in advance.

    The TVH1 Drinking Game

While reading any of my writing,
    - Take a sip every time there's a spelling or grammar error
    - Take a sip every time the story is in present tense for no apparent reason.
    - Take a sip every time I self-parody or self-depreciate either in the story or the comments for that chapter.

    Yet another new story

Yup, it happened again. I've been flitting between stories recently, and ended up not making progress on most of them for a while. In the end, I started a new one, since I felt it was about time. It's a sequel to Music, picking up roughly where the first left off. My current plan is for it to have Vinyl as more of a viewpoint character, in contrast to the first where most of the narration was

Why Fear takes ages: a Primer

I updated Fear a few days ago, and I let it sit for a little bit so the people who read it would have chance to do so. Now, I usually do a blog post accompanying chapter updates for Fear, but I didn't do it straight away this time. And the reason for this is, believe it or not, the same reason I update so slowly on the main story. Here it is:

    Fear is bloody exhausting.

What...what is this · 7:25pm May 8th, 2012

Today, I got a very stark reminder of why I love fanfiction- because it's mad, bad, morally inscrutable, technically illegal, wholly unpredictable, and sometimes comes up with something just maverick enough that it reduces me to Engrish in my attempts to comprehend.

The problem, sirs and madams, is crossovers. They bring out the mad scientist in everybody, and I love them for it. I rarely read them, and have promised never to write one (I onced tried to write a chapter of a MLP/Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann crossover, and found myself going mad with power well before the denouement of the first chapter). But some scientists are madder than others, and today, a story was brought to my attention which must have been spawned by one of the maddest.

To cut a long story short: it ships Goku (of ye olde Dragonball Z fame), and Anne Frank. Someone in the world read Anne Frank's diary and thought, 'Y'know, this is good, but I think it can be improved with more Spirit Bomb!' Godwin's law be damned, Hitler goes super saiyan. I just adore that madness.

Other awesome 'interesting' crossover choices I've seen are Phoenix Wright/Megaman X (really a thinly-veiled excuse to have the line, "OBJECTION! WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR") and Jeeves & Wooster with Devil May Cry, which was really just a thinly veiled excuse to have Jeeves roll up his sleeves and beat everyone else in the entire universe to a bloody paste.

And that's how the Internet was made.

If anyone else has heard of any truly awe-inspiring crossovers that might give me a giggle, let me know. Maybe next time, I'll tell you about how somebody once shipped Vincent Valentine and me. It's a gem!

(Also: thanks to all the people crazy enough to watch me in the last few days. I would watch you all back, but then by the end, people would just be like 'I know you watched me, bro, but you watched everybuddy. It...it jes don't feel special anymore. I'm getting a divorce!' and goodness, knows, I don't want fundamentalist christians to be any angrier at me than they already are.)

I'm reading Anne Frank's Diary right now, do you have a link to the crossover? :rainbowderp:

Sadly, the actual piece of fanfiction isn't very good at all- it's only the concept. It was written by a noober that did not realise the ridiculous potential of what they have stumbled across, and who sadly breaks both DBZ canon and WWII history over their knee. So much wasted lunacy...:fluttercry: First chapter's here, and second chapter be here. I'm trying to make light of it, myself, but I can't think of ways. Usually, I'd just read it in Morgan Freeman's voice, but do I really want to do that when the story contains lines about Hitler's 'rock-hard body'? (Might be NSFW, by the way, due to...well, Hitler.)

Honestly, now I just want to write a MLP / Grosse Point Blank crossover.

well im not sure if this counts but if ya want to see Warhammer40k tech shoved into neon genesis evangelion Here ya go
