Weekly Update Blog #2 · 2:03am Jan 8th, 2014
Hello, everyone, and Happy 2014! Whooooo!
Let's start with the good news. I'm no longer sick, which is great. Second, I managed to get over a pretty big hurdle with the upcoming Reflection Nineteen. It's only sitting at around 6k words, but those 1k words involved creating my vision for Roam, so there's that. Third, I finally got my usual laptop back!
... okay? Now for the bad news. Winter quarter's started up, so... there's that to worry about. I'm really sorry I didn't get anything done for TLS during break. And... while my laptop is back, the problem with the GPU still isn't fixed. As this is the second instance of incomplete repair in which I sent it in on Lenovo's own incompetence in the first place... I'm just going to straight up ask for a refund or replacement.
Now for the neutral news- first, my second edition of WWG is up here. Please let me know what you think and possibly leave suggestions for next time. It doesn't even necessarily have to be from TLS!
Next, the first mailbag question! Well, comment thread question. In any case, Shattered Skies asked, "What's the longest amount of time you have spent working on the story in one sitting?"
The answer, I believe, was three hours, the first of such cases starting around ten PM and ending a little after 1 AM. This was way back with chapter 4, I believe. It's been a long time since, but I have gone on similarly long sessions before. I don't believe I've ever crested the four-hour mark without taking a break to do something else.
I think that should be it for this week. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Before I go, however, here's another song that will be featured in the upcoming installment.
And with that, farewell until next time.
