    Ten Years of Doctor Perseus

Today marks the tenth anniversary of me creating my account here on FIMFiction. It feels incredibly surreal to type that out. Sometimes it almost feels like yesterday when I was a bright-eyed Brony entering the world of MLP fanfiction for the first time. And sometimes it feels like another lifetime ago.

10 Years After My First Fanfic/My Thoughts on Recent MLP & Doctor Who Content

Hello, everybody! It has certainly been a minute since my last blog post. Like I have said in the past, I am not on here as often as I used to be but I certainly try my best to check on my account whenever I can. In all honesty, I was planning on waiting to write out a blog like this until the tenth anniversary of my FIMFiction account. While I still plan on doing that, I was inspired to write

The 10th Anniversary of Friendship is Magic's Premiere

I know I'm not as active here as I used to be but I felt that I had to at least make a little comment here about Friendship is Magic officially beginning its journey into ten-year status. I can't believe it's been ten years since Friendship is Magic started. Heck, I can't believe it's already been a year since the series ended. Does make me wish that we could have gotten a tenth season in order

What Could Have Been: Doctor Whooves Seasons 3&4

Told ya the wait wouldn't be long. Anyway, here I am to FINALLY close the book on Doctor Whooves once and for all by laying out the rest of what I had planned out for Doctor Whooves. Unlike with Season 2, I'm just going to keep my plans for Seasons 3 and 4 in one blog as I hadn't planned everything out in as much detail as I did the arcs of Season 2. But, still, there is plenty of content to

What Could Have Been: Doctor Whooves Season 2, Arc 3

Yeah...sorry for the long wait on this one. I really have no excuse for taking this long to get around to finally uploading the rest of my plans for what I originally had in store for my Doctor Whooves fanfic series. But I'm here now, for those of you who are still interested in learning about the future I originally had planned for a series I ended well over two years ago. Better being SUPER

Fanfics That Never Came to Be... · 4:42am Jan 6th, 2014

Throughout my time as a fanfic writer, I've had many different ideas for stories. Sadly, not all of my story ideas have made it to the final cut, so to speak. So, I've decided to go ahead and list and summarize many of my fanfic stories and ideas that never made it past the early planning stages. Before I begin, I'd just like to note that if any of you want to take the ideas and plots of the following unmade fanfics to write your own please feel free to do so. Take inspiration or adapt the fanfics as I had planned them. Whatever you wish. Also, these fanfics aren't really listed in any chronological order, more or less they're listed in the order I found their old info in my documents. With that said, let's begin.

Twilight Sparkle's Road to the Multiverse

This was pretty much planned out as a dimension-hopping one-shot story involving Twilight being randomly pulled between various times and dimensions. A few of the destinations planned were a scene from A Canterlot Wedding, a Nostalgia Critic review, the locket destruction scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Rainbow Factory and Cupcakes worlds, a scene from Turnabout Storm, and a few others. The story was planned to end with Twilight's dilemma revealed to be the unintentional side effect of a machine created by Artemis Fowl. Artemis would explain the situation to Twilight, erase her memories, and return her to her own world. The story was then planned to either end with Twilight simply returning to her life or on a cliffhanger with Opal Koboi (an enemy from the Artemis Fowl series) teaming up with Cupcakes Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Factory Rainbow Dash, thus leading into a sequel.

It's a Wonderful Double Life, Twilight Sparkle

This story had a plot inspired by the plot of the short-lived TV series Awake. Following a train crash in Ponyville, Twilight would begin switching between two realities every time she went to sleep. In the first reality, Twilight is married to Marcus Moonright, a Canterlot unicorn who helped save the lives of those trapped in the crashed train (and whom she was dating at the time of the crash). She is pregnant with twins, Aaron Gull and Amber Melody, and is meeting with a unicorn therapist named Avery Rover to discuss her alternate reality situation. In the second reality, the crashed train exploded and took the lives of many ponies including Marcus. Twilight went on to enter a romantic relationship with Rainbow Dash, married her, and they both ended up adopting Scootaloo. Spike was also caught in the explosion and was in a coma for a while. Twilight meets with a therapist in this reality too, a pegasus named Jon Ivory. The story would basically be a drama/slice-of-life tale with Twilight dealing with different types of conflicts in the two realities while trying to find out if one of them is really a dream or if they're both real. The first reality was called the Moon Reality and the second was called the Rainbow Reality.

Percy Jackson and the Equestrians

This was going to be a crossover between MLP and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The story takes place after the events of the first Percy Jackson series. Percy and two of his classmates, Frank and Carol Tate (who are fans of MLP), are unexpectedly transported to Equestria. Percy would then have his demigod powers unexpectedly taken from him and he would have to befriend the Mane 6 and work alongside them to face a new evil in Equestria that threatens to destroy them all (the usual stuff).

The Day of Twilight

This story was basically going to be a long one-shot that had a plot similar to that of the plot of Timecrimes; which would revolve around a day where Twilight kept entering a magic mirror that took her a few hours into the past. In the end, there would be about five Twilights running around trying to solve the mystery behind a mysterious accident which occurs during a party in Canterlot. The story would also be split into five parts (one part for each time Twilight lives through the day).

Left 4 Silent

This was going to be a crossover of five things (six, if you count the organization of the title). The story would involve Artemis Fowl, Fluttershy, Brooklyn (from Gargoyles), and Emma Swan (from Once Upon a Time) being transported to Silent Hill and having to work together to escape the hellish town. The POV would switch between the four characters with each chapter and the chapter organization would go as follows:
I. Artemis
II. Artemis
III. Fluttershy
IV. Fluttershy
V. Brooklyn
VI. Brooklyn
VII. Emma
VIII. Emma
And so on.

Equals

This one-shot story was going to involve Twilight and Hermione Granger being summoned to "our world" by an extremely wealthy and lonely teenage boy who lives alone in a country estate. Twilight and Hermione are the boy's favorite characters and he intends to keep them forever and locks them away deep in the estate. The story would then mostly be a psychological fight for survival with Twilight and Hermione bonding, becoming close friends, and ultimately rising up against their captor and entering a long, brutal fight to escape and return to their respective homes.

My Son, Harry Potter

This story was going to be sort of a My Little Dashie-esque story with Twilight Sparkle and Harry Potter. An infant Harry Potter fresh from the night of his parents' murder by Voldemort would magically appear on Twilight's doorstep. Twilight would end up taking Harry in and raising him, the two of them becoming extremely close and facing many different conflicts. Throughout the story, Twilight would see an angel or dimensional guardian who has taken the form of Lily Potter. At the end of the story, the angel/guardian would come to take Harry back to his world to the time he left so that he can fulfill his destiny in that world, but he would be changed back into an infant and would thus lose all memories of his life in Equestria. Harry would have a tearful farewell with Twilight and the others and would then be sent back to his destroyed home as an infant in order to be retrieved by Hagrid. The story would end with the angel/guardian showing Twilight and the others a montage of Harry's life in his own world from his dreadful childhood with the Dursleys to him meeting Ron and Hermione and attending Hogwarts to his various trials and ultimate defeat of Voldemort. The final bit would include a glimpse into the future with a somewhat altered version of the Deathly Hallows epilogue with Harry comforting a young Albus Potter by reminding him about the various "stories about those colorful ponies" Harry used to tell him, thus revealing that Harry hadn't forgotten about Equestria entirely.

Friend in the Forest

This one-shot was going to involve Scootaloo and a human girl named Dorothy meeting in a small forest grove which connects their two worlds. The two of them would meet there every day and become close friends. As the years would pass, Dorothy's life would begin to grow steadily worse but Scootaloo would be there to comfort her. In the end, Scootaloo would go to the grove only to be confronted by a friend of Dorothy's, whom Dorothy had informed about Scootaloo via a found letter, and told that she had died in a tragic accident (I haven't planned out why type of accident). So, yeah, it was going to be another one of those sadfics.

My Little Dashie: The Reimagining

This was basically going to be my own long remake of My Little Dashie. Granted, the original is already perfect and doesn't need to be changed. The 15 years was going to be increased to 17; Rainbow Dash would be three at the beginning of the story, the dad in the story would get a name: Brian Hopper; and many new characters would be included like Brian's sister Janet (who would eventually learn about Dashie), James Nathaniels (Brian's best friend who is the first person to learn about Dashie and who later becomes Dashie's godfather and tragically dies in a car accident on September 14, 2026, three days before Dashie's 18th birthday) and Joshua Price (a boy who becomes Dashie's best friend once she and Brian move into the country and who also is connected to a car crash shown at the beginning of the story which resulted in the deaths of Brian and Janet's parents) just to name a few. The story would begin on the night of July 18, 2010 (the night that Brian and Janet's parents died in a car crash) and would end on the evening of September 17, 2028 (when Dashie returned to Equestria).

Game of Ponies

This was, obviously, going to be a crossover between MLP and Game of Thrones. It would focus on an Equestrian world centuries before the time of Celestia and Luna and even before the creation of Equestria, the land the story takes place in is called Divertia. There would be seven main characters whom the plot switches amongst. There would be a teenage Star-Swirl, who seeks to learn more about magic while also building up an army to rescue his separated family while simultaneously bringing down the cruel monarchy; Elisa Grey, a relative of the King of Divertia who wishes to become Queen by any means necessary; Isabella "Isa", a princess of the Griffon Kingdom who lusts for adventure; Amber, Star-Swirl's younger sister who has been captured and made into a slave; Asphodel "Ash" Snow, Star-Swirl and Amber's half-brother who has escaped into the wilderness following the attack on their home; Brom, a prince of the Changeling Empire who wishes to keep the country in an age of peace; and Claw, a teenage dragon enslaved by the Griffon Kingdom.

A Touch of Clara

This one-shot was going consist of several vignettes including different Clara Oswald copies in different dimensions helping out various characters like Twilight Sparkle, Harry Potter, Doctor Who companions, and the like and ultimately dying as a result.

Heroes of Magic

This short series of "episodes" was going to be a crossover between MLP and the Heroes of Olympus series (the sequel series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians). There were going to be eight episodes pairing up one main MLP character with one of the seven main demigods of the HoO series as they worked together to uncover the secrets of a mysterious boy known as the Writer who has brought them together. The episodes were as follows:
Chapter 1: Beings of Loyalty (Percy Jackson and Rainbow Dash)
Chapter 2: Warriors of Wisdom (Annabeth Chase and Twilight Sparkle)
Chapter 3: Bringers of Excitement (Jason Grace and Pinkie Pie)
Chapter 4: Subjects of Fire (Leo Vasquez and Spike)
Chapter 5: Riders of the Plains (Hazel Levesque and Applejack)
Chapter 6: Creatures of Beauty (Piper McLean and Rarity)
Chapter 7: Dwellers of Nature (Frank Zhang and Fluttershy)
Chapter 8: Olympus is Magic (All Groups Together)
The chapters were also going to switch POV amongst the characters in a similar fashion to Left 4 Silent.
I. Percy, I. Annabeth, I. Jason, I. Leo, I. Hazel, I. Piper, I. Frank
II. Rainbow Dash, II. Twilight, II. Pinkie Pie, II. Spike, II. Applejack, II. Rarity, II. Fluttershy
And so on.

Just Go to Sleep

This was going to be a crossover between MLP and Jeff the Killer with Jeff's backstory involving him moving to a rock farm across from Pinkie Pie's when they were fillies and the two of them becoming close friends. Tragedy would strike, Jeff would go insane and kill his family, and the crazed Jeff would reunite with Pinkie Pie years later in Ponyville where the two of them would have a final confrontation.

Twilight Sparkle: Canterlot Wonderbolt

This one-shot was going to be a sequel to Equestria Girls with the human world version of Twilight Sparkle moving in with Shining Armor and Cadance and attending Canterlot High, where she would go on to meet and befriend the human Mane 5 and Sunset Shimmer.

Story of the Blanks

This was simply going to be my fanfic remake of Donitz's flash game of the same name.

And there you go. There's a collection of the many fanfic ideas I developed but never executed. Again, if any of you find inspiration from these random stories or want to take the ideas and execute them yourselves then, by all means, go nuts.

I was thinking that since the doctor will be looking for Gallifray and it's in a pocket dimension that maybe the doctor and Clara and possibly ,a male companion have the TARDIS travel or "hop" through different universes to find his home planet....what do you think?:twilightsheepish:

It would definitely be interesting to see that.

If I ever get around to reading the Percy Jackson books and The Song of Ice and Fire, I'd probably take a crack at Percy Jackson and the Equestrians and Game of Ponies. Although I wouldn't use Starswirl the Bearded since I believe he lived closer to the time of Celestia and Luna. I'm tempted to try My Son, Harry Potter, but it feels like to much for me to handle. Friend in the Forest perhaps I could handle that. I'm tempted as well as Twilight Sparkle: Canterlot Wonderbolt but nothing about it really jumps out at me. It might work with another idea I had though. I'm also tempted by It's a Wonderful Double Life, Twilight Sparkle because I was quite intrigued by the idea of the show Awake though I never saw it. But that also seems too big for me to handle.

I imagine that Twilight Sparkle's Road to the Multiverse, Heroes of Magic, and Just Go to Sleep ended up influencing your "Doctor Whooves" series, especially the episode "The Rifts". Jeff the Killer would have been ponified in that story right. :pinkiecrazy:

You know there is already an adaptation of Story of the Blanks.

And unfortunately to me My Little Dashie: The Reimagining would have seemed rather unnecessary. What would it have really added to "My Little Dashie"? I guess you just went with "Father of the Rainbow" instead. Seemed like a good call to me.

Oh Im just an Idea guy not any kind of story writer.
