First, I'm pleased to say that with the completion of Celestia's Collection, my dream-based short stories are all published and complete.
Yay! I love finishing things!
To be honest, this was the hardest of my dream stories to complete, as the only inspiration I dreamed of for it was Celestia turning a very particular arrow I dreamed about into a pony. The arrow featured in that dream was almost a Rube Goldberg device; not only did it fit the description of the arrow in the story, it also had a wooden crossbow built into its 'underside'! It was truly absurd. Needless to say, some things had to be cut. Drink Your Milk, Sweetie was comparatively easy to translate into a story, as I literally dreamed up every plot point in order. War Comes faced more difficulty, in that I didn't remember the dream itself by the time I was halfway through the story - only my general outline.
Second, this happened a while back, and I was just reminded of it:
not interested in scootaloo leading a group of chickens in overthrowing the government? - Violet Runner
This comment inspired my next fic. (...just kidding) - me
... why am I even considering this again?
Sweet, congratulations.
Might I suggest a dream journal, so you don't forget your dreams halfway through a story?

That's more or less how I did it, but having no direct memory anymore was still a hinderance.

Thank you.
