My story, and why writing MLP leaves me now.... conflicted

I think my last post was brief, so I might as well go into some detail here about my story, why I started writing mlp fanfic, and what is happening now.

    G5: OH THE IRONY...

You know, it's really really funny... G5 has all the three tribes of ponies hating each other, and living in a modern setting centuries after FiM. I wrote about this very ideas years ago, before G5 was ever conceived of, in a story where Celestia and Luna go on a vacation incognito to the earth pony town of Coltonville, and find pony hatred and paranoia, as well as a conspiracy against unicorn

    Returning for real this time

Okay, everybody, Paradise/Tornado here again! Yes I know it's been a year, but I needed time to recover from a ten-year burnout in writing, and it took awhile to get my creative juices flowing again. I'm putting together plans for a new story or two, though my plans for my 'big finish' story are on hold again. I hope many of you are still here, and look forward to entertaining all of you with my

The Rainbow Ponies... and little Ember · 6:50am Dec 31st, 2013

Well, it is upon us again- the Night of the magical pink moon. Upon this night in Ponyland, the moon grows far larger in the sky than it appears at any other time of the year. And it is on this night that the ponies of Ponyland mark the passing of the old year, and the brand new beginning of the new one. Mares and stallions ofetn hold grand parties on this night, serving pink lemonade, and enjoy the rosy pink glow that the light of this last moon of the year bathes everything it touches in. The ponies of all the citadels in Ponyland also hope for a visit from one of the Rainbow ponies to thier parties, so that she may bless all the ponies present so they may have good luck for the new year.

Ah, the Rainbow Ponies... a holy order of monks for the Zoroponthian faith, they are the most highly respected and spiritual equines amongst all of modern ponydom. Having attained a state of enlightenment even beyond that of an alicorn, thier manes flow with mystical flowing rainbow colors, just as the great Celestia's once did. As the followers of the horsemaster lack an established clergy, it is they who officatie at formal functions, instruct and advise the faithful, and give comfort to the ponies who need it most. They are also said to be able to forsee the future, though they claim that they do not have this wondorous ability themselves.

My little Ember, he only blank flank in Dream Castle, this will be her first magical pink moon this year. She is friends with the Rainbow Pony monks, and they claim she has a great future in store for her. When Twilight and I first adopted the orphaned filly, her parents killed by a greedy troll looking for a meal, we knew she was special. She is the sweetest little angel in all the world, though it can sometimes be hard for her. Twilight will go in and comfort the little filly after a nightmare, and I feel powerfless when I hear her crying to herslf. She still insists on calling us 'Trnado' and 'Twilight'... and how can we blame her? We can never replace what she lost, we can only be there for her when she neds us.

I hope this new year is a wonderful time for my family... just as I hope it is a wonderful time for all of you. May the light of the magical pink moon shine on your new year's celebration, and may the year head be filled with many good times and happy memories yet to come. Now, if you will all excuse me, I have a Pink moon party to go and get ready for....

Horsemaster watch over you ll,

I know you might disagree with me on this, but everytime I watched the magical pink moon my mother used to tell me that when Princess Luna disappeared from the surface of the Earth, the moon wept and had the pinkish colour and a larger size. Once every year, the moon remembers her mistress' death by glowing pink and appear larger.

If you're asking, no I don't believe this tale, but when I was younger I was always curious on why every year the moon gets this phenomenon.

Happy New Year!

((Yes, I just made up the story when I typed the comment. You can use it as part of an Alicornist tale if you want - La Vallett1))

Happy New Year to you too Tornado!

Back in the Concordiat we once believed that the final Full Moon of the year, which turned a deep red, was the Moon repenting for the actions of Princess Luna during the War of Eternal Night. We know this to be incorrect scientifically now but we still read and believe the old tales.

This shows another difference between our worlds despite our similarities.

I would also like to invite both of you, and your family.of course, to the Sun Rise service tomorrow. While we do not wear our faith on our sleeves we do have our traditions, which includes welcoming the first sunrise of the year. Even if it is not our Sun. And I do hope that perhaps at least one of the Rainbow Ponies attend, we may not follow the Horsemaster but do have our faith and beliefs.

Concordia be with you,
Sirocco Highwind

Sirraocco, Fleet, Valett... thank you all, and all the best in the new year! And if we can make the morning celebartion, we will most certainly be there! :pinkiehappy:
