My cold virus turned out to be unusually stubborn, but I can feel that my powers are slowly returning. On the other hand, something weird appears to have happened to my sleep cycle - not only does my body want to stay up until eight in the morning but it also seems to want to sleep a lot more than it should, in the ballpark of ten to eleven hours a night. I have no idea why. Usually I only sleep that much when I'm seriously sleep deprived. It's really kinda annoying.
Still, I've had enough of this unproductive slump, so I have taken measures to ensure I get something written each day the following week at least.
Chapter 3 of Time Crusade is still far from finished but at least I'm making progress now. A big part of the delay was that I ran into a minor problem with one of the scenes, causing me to lose momentum. I tend to write the story as it occurs to me without making especially detailed outlines, and I dislike changing the plot once it's set in my mind. For that reason, even minor setbacks can have a devastating effect on my motivation. Luckily this was just a small issue that is relatively easy to fix.
Well, better late than never, at least chapter 3 WILL come, even if it might take some time until it does. Just hope that all other readers are as patient about it as I am and you'll be fine
