Possible rewrite

Hey there fellow readers!
So the other day I posted a half chapter thing that was shortly taken down for not being a full chapter.
Now this whole thing I understand just fine, but a couple of the comments stood out to me and got me thinking. (A dangerous past time I know)
Now I am thinking of doing a rewrite of My Name Is Monster. A few edits here and there make the story line up a bit better.
I also wanted to include a prelude as well. Which I have already written.

So to anyone who has read the story so far, what should I do,
1: Keep going and edit the whole thing when finished
or
2: Make the first chapter into a stand alone story and make the additional chapters into a second one.
or
3: Same as the second option but make the second story a little more light hearted or keep it dark.

Please let me know as soon as possible.
