A Special Report from Fenix's News Desk, from your local Channel 18 · 3:13am May 1st, 2012
Good evening everyone, tonight is a special report on the unprofessional behavior from Hoennshy's writer, Fenix. We here at Fenix Writing Co-op would like to apologize for-
Okay, for real now. Back on Saturday, I wanted to make a blog post about what has been going on with the story and what has gone on in my life to make things go smoother and hopefully faster for you all not to have to wait two months for a chapter. I was drunk at ACen (Anime Central) and decided to make a blog post, which you all should know is a brilliant idea. I did have stuff to say, but I was in no way capable of doing so like I am now.
Yes, chapter fifteen is taking longer than a month and a half to complete. I hate this as much as everyone else does, especially since I feed off people's reactions to things in the story. I had just left my old job and am taking a sabbatical from school, so a lot of things have been changing over this past month alone. I now work full time which makes it harder for me to squeeze in those precious writing hours when working on illustrations are still so crucial. Once again, chapter fifteen is long due to having to crunch all of my content to a handful of chapters or else the story would be twice as long. I'm currently working with my story consultant to get the final details done of Mistral City before I delve too far into it, so that is causing the delay as well. I'm back to a half-NaNoWriMo to NaNoWriMo speed during non-editing periods (800-1,667 words per day) from today, so things should go much smoother than before.
I want to get this story done before I head back to school next year, and getting updates faster will help both you enjoy it more, plus it will bring in new readers due to more exposure. I really don't want each chapter to take two months every time.
Also, I won't be taking down that blog post. It makes me look like a human being that wants to be sociable with people and not a stick in the mud.
Awesome! You're definitely no stick in the mud.
Being drunk and writing, always a good combination!
