So Equestria Daily did this post recently where they asked for users to come up with episodes for a hypothetical season five of MLP. I found the idea interesting and began to scribble down some episodes with their synopsis for the season.
Also this blog post contains NO spoilers whatsoever for Season 4.
MLP:FiM Season 5 Episodes
S5E1: "Comet of Malice Part 1"
- Something strange is occurring all around Equestria. Magic around the kingdom seems to be getting weaker as the days progress. Twilight summons her friends and informs them that at the current rate even the Princess's magic will be diminished to nothing in the span of a few days. Twilight's research shows that an ancient celestial object known as the Comet of Malice has returned to the skies above Equestria. The only way to remove the Comet is through use of the an ancient observatory in the city of Canterlot. Before Twilight and her friends have a chance to use the observatory they find the city of Canterlot is under attack by creatures and forces.
S5E2: " Comet of Malice Part 2"
-Canterlot is under attack by evil creatures that are being led by Queen Chrysalis. A brief encounter between the Mane 6 and Chrysalis reveals that creatures of malice are having their magic enhanced by the Comet. Making their way into the city, the group of friends reach the observatory only to find that Chrysalis has followed them with the intent of destroying the observatory. Now the friends must hold off Chrysalis as well as figure out why the Comet has returned.
S5E3: "Lady HaHa"
- Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 are tasked with welcoming Rosa, a dignitaries daughter from another kingdom, that has arrived for a summit. The group realizes that the Rosa shares a striking similar physical appearance to Pinkie Pie. Rosa requests that she and Pinkie swap places for a day so that she can live the life of a normal pony. Pinkie and her friends accept under the condition that they only swap places for a day. As the day progresses the Mane 6 soon realize that the life of a dignitary's daughter isn't such a walk in the park. To make matters worse they can't seem to find Rosa.
S5E4: "To Live and Dine with Trixie"
- Rarity, Apple Jack, and Rainbow Dash decide to have a sister's outing in the city of Las Pegasus with Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo. The older group members soon discover that their young siblings won't be able to attend a late night show due to age restriction. Having exhausted all other options a familiar unicorn approaches the group and offers her services to foal sit the CMC in exchange for a favor.
S5E5: "Rainbow Dash and the Script of Do"
- It's finally happening, the Daring Do adventure series is being made into a movie! Rainbow Dash immediately signs up for the lead role of Daring herself and gets in. As filming begins however she begins to notice several differences in the script from the book series. The most notable being a completely new personality for Daring Do. Will Rainbow Dash be able to go ahead with the movie or will she drop out and miss the chance of a life time?
S5E6: "Earth, Water, and Apples"
- Apple Buck season is coming up and the Apple Family is preparing for the harvest, or at least they would be if there were any apples to harvest. Tree's all round the farm are bare of any fruit and Apple Jack can't figure out why. Her family did everything like they always do but that just doesn't seem to be working anymore. Apple Jack finds her self torn between family tradition and new ways of growing apple trees.
S5E7: "My Brother! My Husband!"
- Shinning Armor's birthday is coming up and Twilight along with her friends are invited to the Crystal Empire to celebrate. Upon arriving, Cadance asks Twilight for tips on what to get Shining Armor for a gift. With Twilight's advice Cadance buys him a gift that completely out does Twilight's own gift. Scared that her brother will think less of her Twilight goes out of her way to get Shining a gift to compete with Cadance's. Soon both Princesses find themselves building up gifts to see who's Shinning Armor will like more.
S5E8: "Walk Like a Pony, Act Like a Dragon"
- Spike couldn't be happier, not only has Rarity made a completely new fashion line just for him but she's also asked him to model the outfits in an up coming fashion show. Everything couldn't be more perfect, that is except for the fact that Spike doesn't know the first thing when it comes to behaving at fashion shows. Afraid of embarrassing Rarity, Spike goes to each of his friends for advice on how he should behave.
S5E9: "Shy High"
-Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are invited to their Junior Flight Camp class reunion. Rainbow Dash couldn't be more excited to go and catch up on her old friends, meanwhile Fluttershy is having doubts about attending. After some encouragement from Rainbow Dash the timid pegasus agrees to go as well. When the two arrive they find themselves overwhelmed with memories, particularly of the day the two friends first met.
S5E10: "Generous to a G"
-During a recent visit to Canterlot Rarity hears talks and rumors regarding her Element of Harmony. Rarity is disgruntled to find that her generosity is being questioned. Quickly coming up with an idea she plans to prove all neigh sayers wrong. The fahionista decides that she will be nothing but generous and helpful to her friends. A little generosity never hurt any one, right?
S5E11: ''Under Pink Management"
- The Cakes have decided that they need a vacation and ask Pinkie Pie to look over Sugar Cube Corner while they're gone. With the shop all to herself Pinkie ask's Rarity and Rainbow Dash to help her run it. To ever ones surprise a new bakery opens up across the street and begins competing with Sugar Cube Corner for business. The three finds must now find new ways to draw in customers both new and old.
S5E12: "Real Life Fiction"
- During an experiment Twilight accidentally casts a spell on her library. Now characters in the books are coming to life and its up to Twilight and Spike to bring them back to their books. There's just two problems, the first being that the duo only have a limited time to do so. The second being that some characters might not be too keen on returning to their stories.
S5E13: "Pranks and Politics"
- It is Equestria's turn to hold a summit between multiple nations and everything is scheduled to go perfect, that is, unless a certain Spirit of Chaos has anything to say about it. Celestia asks Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 to keep an eye on Discord and make sure nothing disrupts the summit. It'll take everything that the Mane 6 has to outwit Discord and keep him in line.
It's A Shame that these episode ideas haven't got enough ideas because I think these would've made good episodes for the show.
