A good story isn't measured by how long it is, but by how long it stays with you.

Hello! As the title implies, I have been able to put aside time from what has quickly become a busy life to work on another story. It's rather simple but nonetheless has its personal merits and goals. I have been looking at it as less of a story and more a practice in tone, narrative voice, and a thing I have dubbed "narrative swing," wherein I am working on my ability to weave internal reflection with happenings in a story, with large emphasis on the reflection to build significance with the minute story playing out, but without consequently drawing away from the story or dragging like a heavy diaper (a tough teeter-totter to balance, I can already feel). If there's a term for this, slap me in the face with it. Otherwise, sit patiently, as I hope to have a complete rough draft ready by the end of the week.

Oh, and it's another [Tragedy]. That's probably something important to mention.

Happy reading!

EDIT: I accidentally misspelled "their" as "theur" while working on the above story and was curious why it wasn't underlined as an incorrect word. Here's your daily dose of random fact for the day.
