A good story isn't measured by how long it is, but by how long it stays with you.

Post-Horsefest Blog: What a Wonderful Weekend It Was! · 11:10pm Aug 17th, 2023

Hey!

So yea, Everfree Northwest happened. It was a whirlwind like most cons are, but with the added twist of Twilight's Book Nook, EFNW's first-ever bookstore. It went swimmingly. IIRC, we sold ~72% of our books by revenue and ~60% by unit (which is to say, a lot of the bigger, more expensive books sold well), and I signed a lot of autographs. So many autographs, holy crap. Apparently, y'all like Compati: all 25 copies sold out!

To that end, for those of you at home who weren't able to attend and get your hooves on a copy, I just posted the Friday and Monday chapters. Tomorrow's Friday chapter will go up as scheduled (unless the new PoE league makes me forget, in which case here's a pre-emptive sorry and anyone who knows me on Discord can feel free to remind me).

To all of you I saw at Everfree—both old and new friends alike—I'm glad we had that time together. I loved every minute of it, and I hope to see you all next year!

Also, check out this Pipp!

Aww what a fluffy cutie! And yay for selling so many books!

Also *hugs* for post-con depression, it definitely sucks.

Post-con depression really sucks you guys

Really feeling this too x_X

But hey, all the more reason to look forward to next year! (and maybe try to make it to Trotcon cuz a year is way too long to wait?(no promises but we're considering it??(but for real it'd be super cool to see y'all again sooner than literally 12 months from now???(I'm impatient????))))

Was great to see you again!

Time to power through the post-con period by staying as busy as possible ...

I should've deputized you to sign my books. Might've been able to charge more for them!

This was my first con experience. I honestly thought I would be immune. I don't know why. Either way, I am currently very sad.

Was real neat to meet you. Still frustrated that I forgot where my car was and didn't have time to rush back and grab my copy of Compatī so you could sign it, which I really should have asked you to do when I bought it on day one. Maybe next year, if we both find ourselves in Bellevue again. Substantially more likely if you bring more bewk.

Still pumped I got your signature in the Vault collection. Also got Somber's while I was there (and of course RB's). Now I just gotta complete the impossible task of getting sinatures of each and every one of the dozens and dozens of authors in there. Considering it's been a decade, let's hope none of them are dead. :pinkiehappy:

floof

Though I question the choice of getting an oversized pip. If it was show-accurate, she'd be half that size.
