Welp, I've finally done it.
I've crossed one line that I've never crossed before.
I've gone on to write what equates to a wish-fulfillment Gary Stu self-insert. God, what have I done?
You know, the funny part is according to my proof-readers, this is actually one of my better-written pieces. The first chapter that I'll be posting up soon is more of a proof-of-concept than anything else, to see if such a thing is well-received and people can enjoy it.
For those of you who are wondering just where this came from, it's based on a D&D campaign that I'm playing with my friend right now. Yes, I'm playing a D&D campaign where I am role-playing as Equestria's savior. How freakin Gary Stu is that?
I'm trying my best to make the main character not too much of a Gary Stu, but that's kinda hard to do when your guild is capable of almost-instantly warping down any conceivable technology right up to the Gravity Age right into your hands the moment you think you need it. Even without god-mode powers, the stuff that my DM puts me through makes me twist and turn my imagination more times than I can count to find a creative solution to the conflicts I come across - because of that, my character is this extremely slippery and crafty bastard in combat who is an absolute bitch to kill even when he's not at the height of his powers.
I suppose I make up for it by making him a complete and utter social recluse, and in my character's head, the complete opposite of a suave debonair, though the ladies around him might disagree.
I suppose that's the kind of stuff that happens when you inherit the bloodline and legacy of the DM's GM-character, who is a LITERAL God-Mode Sue. Trying my best to get my character flaws and weaknesses that can be exploited, but so far... meh. He's too godly in combat already for that >< I need to find a chance for him to get his ass kicked.
What is a gary stu
A character who is absolutely too perfect and has no flaws or weaknesses whatsoever, the male equivalent of a Mary Sue.
Interesting. I'm assuming the story will not have him cognizant of being a role-played character?
82770 Nope, because the character IS me, in a sense. I'm about to post it up in a few minutes - you can see it for yourself there.

Well I have to go pay bills and then go to work, but I will check it out.
So is this an OC pony or a HiE?
