Big News - Story Revisions and Cancellations · 8:38pm Oct 13th, 2013
Hey all,
If you're long-time readers of mine (bless you), then you know that I'm a little sparse on updates for my bigger projects. Now, it's perfectly understandable to worry about any story that updates with less regularity than your taxes, and I thought I'd allay most of those fears here.
The good news: What's in a Name and Changes are NOT cancelled, and I have no intention of cancelling them.
The better news: with The Life and Times of a Winning Pony starting to wind down, I'll have marginally more time to work on chapters, and my fellow collaborators will look at those projects and say, 'Hey, Comma--get off your lazy ass and write some more.'
The bad news: To Outlive You is cancelled. I'll be honest ... I'm not happy with this story. Not at all. It's my first big foray into fiction writing, and to be honest I cringe a little when I look back at it.
So what's going to happen to it? Well ... who wants it? I'm serious--I hate leaving a story untold, even if I'm personally not fond of it, and if someone wants to take a crack at it themselves, let me know and I'll give you the links to what I had in mind. Whether or not you follow that outline is your call, but if anyone would like to take the baton, let me know.
So you won't be continuing "Outlive You," will the rest of it still remain up for our perusal?

Ah. Excellent. If you'd cancelled "What's in a Name" I might have had to become... cross...
Well, definitely look forward to what you'll write in What's in a Name and Changes.
I've never read To Outlive You, so can't say much on that matter. I get you, though, when you look back at a writing you've done a long time ago and cringe. I probably don't need to say this, but at least, you can take it as an indication that you haven't plateau-ed. That you're still improving. And that you have in fact gotten better since then.
dang outlive you was a good story despite how sad, looking forward to the others and anything else you'll come up with.

Thank Christ, glad to know Changes and Name are still being worked on. I love those stories.
Glad to hear that What's in a Name and Changes will be sticking around. Especially Changes. Like really especially. So, when you say that Life and Times is winding down, do you mean that the story is near completion?
