Late Night Blog Post About Subjectivity In Writing.

It's late night, starlight, shit is bright. Lets get ready to ramble, might help me sleep. I want to talk a little bit about what I think makes good writing, because fuck it, I have the time and will.

I just realized I only have 10% battery left, which translates to roughly 20 minutes on my laptop's shitty battery. I guess this just became an exercise in speedwriting.

Real Talk Pertaining To Insecurity, Unreasonable Standards, and Judgmental Behavior.

God, that's a lot of negative words, huh?

I just want to say, I've been thinking a little bit lately. I'm by no means a wise man, but I wanted to let a few thoughts out there.

Alright. Time to get back to work!

Break is officially over. You guys feel free to send me stuff again if you want.

Since it would be stupid to make a blog post that short, how about I list of my top 5 fictional characters as well? You don't have to answer, I'm doing it anyway. Here we go, in order, descending from 5 to 1.

    Happy blogs.

Okay, so I officially worked through all of the stories in my queue. As of tonight, I'm on break. I will stay on break until my next blog post.

I will still take fics for people whom I already have experience with. If I have edited something for you in the past, and you feel like there isn't anyone else that could do your newest story, then I will take it.

On Vacation. · 5:31pm Oct 12th, 2013

Going to Ireland. Will be back on Thursday. Don't expect super fast answers from me till then.

Edit: Vacation is over ^^. And damn, was it ever amazing. There is no longer any doubt in my mind, the traditional Irish music genre is clearly superior to everything else(I kid, obviously punk rock is way superior).

Sounds something like this:

"A talented musician where you're from isn't necessarily the same as a talented musician here." One of the bartenders in Ireland told me this. He also told me that in an average sized city in Ireland would hold anywhere from 300 to 500 really good musicians, and any number of amateurs. I'm not entirely sure what he meant by this, but I'm fairly certain it's a high percentage.

It's an incredible experience, sitting in the corner of a bar, drinking a pint of Guinness(it doesn't travel well. Tastes way better in an Irish bar), with musicians just wandering in and out bringing their own instruments, and just having a fun time with other musicians.

It's clear that they are just jamming, but the skill level is incredible. One guy whistles a tune, and a second later everybody is playing and accompaniment to it, the different instruments melding together into jigs and waltzes, barely distinguishable from one another from being in such good harmony. One guy stands up, While plucking furiously at a banjo and yells: "three pints of Guinness and a pint of Blue Moon, lad," sits back down and keeps playing.

I feel inspired. I will be picking up my old guitar and tuning it into DADGAD as soon as I get myself a good Irish traditional handbook. Hopefully I will be able to find a few sessions in Denmark as well(doubtfull).

Thanks soul:twilightsmile: It's been an amazing vacation.

By the way, how is work going on your horror story? You kinda dropped of the grid for a little while.

Yeah...
Had a LOT of work to do for school, but I've got chapter two writen up and I'm beginning edits now. Should be a few days before I ask anyone to look at it.
Chapter three is also being planned. and I got like... *Counts on fingers...* three other stories to update soon...?
Real busy this weekend, I'm just glad that school is almost over this year!

I think we all feel that way most of the time(those of us in school anyway). I'll be ready to take a look at the next chapter if you need me to by the way, but I might not want to do more than superficial edits this time. I have a lot of other stuff on my plate, and though I am not that restrained by time, editing quickly gets boring if I do too much of it.
