With a tip of my hat... · 10:58am Oct 9th, 2013
I bid you all adieu. I'm sorry for the abruptness of this post, but I'm leaving the site for a while (well, technically I've already left a while ago). Will I return? Who knows. I want to, because I still have that nagging thought in the back of my head to finish Changin' Hooves before retiring completely from here. Maybe after season 4 starts up, just maybe, I'll be inspired to write more. But as it is, and I know this is really the worst possible reason for anyone to stop writing something, I've just lost interest. I've had several things in the past few months capture my interest. And just because it's my blog, I've decided to give you a short list of them, because I can.
1. League of Legends/Minecraft- these have eaten up so much of my time it's not even funny. Especially when you're running Feed the Beast for Minecraft.
2. Anime- I'll just give you a short list. Oreimo, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Working!!, K-On!, Yuyushiki, Seitokai Yakuindomo, Spice and Wolf, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, Hataraku! Maou-sama, Attack on Titan, Miss Monochrome, Dog and Scissors, Toradora, and the Monagatari series.
3. School and Work- these are big ones, as I'm only about 20 credit hours from graduating and I also need to pay rent. Plus there's just something about biographies and history majors that just mixes so well. Book of the month is Henry Clay; The Essential American.
4. My Love for the Fandom has Grown Stale- this is probably the last thing I want to admit, but I'm starting to fall out of the fandom pretty rapidly. Hence why season 4 might be a lifesaver for Changin' Hooves; just something to pull me back in long enough to finish a simple story. I really do want to finish it, but I don't want to force myself and deliver a bad quality ending to what I think has been a decent quality story so far (it's no Fallout Equestria, Visionary, or Allegrezza, but hey).
Although this is goodbye, I can only hope that it's not forever. I won't ask anything from you guys except your patience and support. Feel free to unfollow my stories and my user page, as there is no guarantee that I will come back. But for those of you who cling to the hope that I will return bigger and funnier than ever, I thank you for having confidence in me. And if I do return, I can only hope I will be welcomed back by those who I call my readers, as they are more precious to me than they realize.
Feel free to ask any questions you want, as I do check back regularly to clear my notifications. I will do my best to answer any and all questions asked to me about nearly anything in a timely manner. Thank you all for your understanding, and I hope to return to you soon.
Signing off one last time,
Josh (aka OneTrickPon3)
Bye for now. Hope your inspiration returns to you.
Spike: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
In all seriousness, though, please don't go, I love your story. I will respect whichever path you choose, but I sincerely hope that you stay, otherwise we will have lost an awesome author.
