So, um. A few weeks ago, I saw the esteemed Der Fur Shur mention that the Flutterdash Fimfiction group was having a contest.
And I may have, possibly, written a fic for it.
Which might have.
somehow.
accidentally.
won the People's Choice???????
Seriously, though. I am proud not totally embarrassed by this fic. It’s got problems, notably pacing, but compared to my usual work it came together so quickly and tidily. From my side of the screen it’s a big step forward.
If you're in favour of Flutterdash, check out the other entries. Some of them were really neat. The folder is here, though only a few of them are published yet. I think my favourites were Hummingbird Heartbeat by bats (also the Judges' Choice) and Three Little Words by Drizzle Quill (I'm a sucker for recurring motifs).
Hey, I liked the story quite a bit. For whatever it's worth.
