Is Celestia Sad or Devious? · 5:52am Sep 21st, 2013
I have never cared much for Princess Celestia. I have not seen her as evil so much as a Renegade. She will do what she thinks is best for Equestria, weather it actually is or not. I have taken to calling her Machiavellian Sunbutt in the past few months. But three weeks ago I stumbled onto a thought and that might have changed. Don't get me wrong, I still don't trust her, but that's because Hasbro needs to give her an episode where she's not a Mary Sue. Show us what Celestia is truly like.
I was thinking what would Celestia be like if she opened up to some-one (Rainbow Blitz, keep an eye out for this story in the weeks ahead). She could drop the mask of Princess Celestia she puts on for her Court, citizens, especially Twilight Sparkle and even drop the mask she puts on to be Big Sister to Luna/Artemis. What would Celestia be like? Would she cry from all the pressure she's under? Would she run a warm bubble bath and read a fiction book to forget the mistakes she made today? Would she storm around venting her frustration on the one pony who doesn't care if she throws a hissy fit? If she does have a coltfriend does she rut him like the world's ending? Or let him take charge when they lie together?
The point I'm making is I really want to explore what Princess Celestia is like when she can be herself, just Celestia. No title, no crown, no responsibilities. I can see many of the decisions she's made as being a result of the circumstances, (locking Nocturne away because she could not save Artemis) and she's never forgotten many of them and regrets them. She might cry in the middle of the night because she can, and Blitz would comfort her. I think I'm going to have fun with this.
