Hoennshy Interesting Tidbits #1 · 1:01am Apr 10th, 2012
After finding a new job and most likely taking a semester break from school, I decided to write some things about Hoennshy and its development. Hopefully some of you find this interesting, because writing this story has been a strange experience. Now, off to the tidbits.
Interesting Tidbit #1: When I write Hoennshy during work, I write it traditionally with a notebook and pen. Why is this interesting? Because I want to hide the fact that it were a pony fan fiction were anyone to find it and read it, all characters have been humanized, some gender-swapped, and most of their names have been changed. It's interesting when I have to translate all of my work from human to pony to make it cohesive with the rest of the story. What good host would I be without telling you what I change? Below is the list of every character and how they have been changed to keep my pony writing a secret to everybody.
Twilight Sparkle: Trevor Sal (Gender-swapped)
Rarity: Rue
Applejack: Jack (Gender-swapped)
Fluttershy: Felicia
Rainbow Dash: Richard (Gender-swapped)
Pinkie Pie: Paula
Spike: Spike (No change)
Scootaloo: Scoots (Gender-swapped)
Sweetie Belle: Belle
Apple Bloom: Ali
Princess Luna: Luna (No change)
Princess Celestia: Celess
Equestria: Erozea
Ponyville: Riverville
Everything else has been kept the same but in human form, just so I can safely write it during my down time at my job. Is it interesting? I'd like to know! Also, is there anything else you'd like to know about its development? I'm sure I'll have stories about it! I'll add more to this list once I get there in each of the chapters.
Looks kinda interesting, though I must ask how you manage horns and wings if the original is with humans? Do you add that after ponifying the story or do you have horned/winged humans?

Good question. With unicorns, I give them markings like tattoos on their faces to show their magical aptitude; with pegasi, I don't give them the ability to fly until I put it in the actual chapter. I replace them with things they could do with their legs or not include that scene at all if it's not feasible for humans to do it.
well played
lol That's interesting. So what do the people at work think about the human version? Has it been "found" as it were?

No one has found it yet, and it's honestly very nice to not have to worry about whether or not they find it. With how slow it is at my job, I'm surprised no one has tried to read it due to boredom.
Interesting. And you wuld only know how much I think about RD geting Twi to cast the spell on her to get to Johto when Hoennshy was over. I can't stop thinking about that, she is the only one I can think of that wuld like to return for a new adventure.
Lol, I'm not that much of a closet brony, all the 1800 students in my school know I'm a brony and only a few are not ok with it, but they are the "stop liking what I don't like" type. Good way of hiding it tho!
