My Return/Rant · 1:16am Sep 3rd, 2013
Warning: This is a rant, if you don't care about it then don't read.
Okay my tournament in a sentence. I played terribly! I lost to kids who weren't any older than twelve! I was an absolute mess yesterday and today wasn't much better since I completely botched the first round. And if that wasn't bad enough, my opponent's dad decided to take photos, with... the... flash... on! Seriously! I kid you not, this guy decided it would be alright to flash a bright white light behind me in the middle of the game! Common sense people it's not that hard to grasp! Anyway, with now that my anger vented, all in all I went 3.5 out of 7 or 3 wins, a draw and 3 losses. The record itself is decent, but I lost at least 80 rating points to a bunch of ankle biters. Anyway, about to start writing Change of Scenery again so I will post that as soon as I can. Don't worry about it man. How old are you? You have less time on your hands than they do. Trust me when i say that no matter how much you like chess, there will always be someone better than you. I know the feeling man, i won't specify but i am jealous of a lot of people for their natural talent and how it beats my hard work and skill.
Also you need to know about this-> I have started my own story inspired by your "Return to society". If you have time check it out for i worry it may be so similar that.... Copyright may be involved? I dunno. but if you have any thoughts about it:

If I was younger and still competing, I probably would've been one of those anklebiters.
I used to compete in chess tournaments when I was about 7. I still got a large third place trophy collecting dust in my room.

Hey, it sounds like you actually did pretty good. At least you weren't that guy who trains for days just to get wiped out and win absolutely nothing.
