Aiming high, falling low

As of now, I'm trying to stuff Sweat and Edit into EqD. In the short pause between me sending it in and they answering I've already started to write another fic (my head is full of pony stories and they want to get out!), but in the past few days I've been busy furiously trying to weed the scrap out of S&E. Sadly, EqD has standards, as well as common sense and brain, so they couldn't accept it in its original form. Curse you, quality, the bane of so many valiant aspiring writers!
Jokes aside, though, my pre-reader was kind enough to give me a detailed list of what needs to be changed. It looks like I have to find the blurry line between LUS and not-graphic-enough description, for example.

So, as you might guess, I'll be busy with this in the near future. I should have expected this, as (fun fact!) S&E was my first sorry attempt at writing an English fic. My FIMFiction story list isn't posted in actual chronological order. Regardless, I think S&E is still better than [CANCELLED], which I had to throw together in a week and wasn't even proofread due to the writing competition's rules. Wait, does the proofreader count as an external observer? Who cares, it's the past.

Unrelated note: I still couldn't watch the MMMystery episode. Stupid slow Internet connection! We hates it. We hatesss it, my Precious!
EDIT: Watched it, if anyone cares. It was cool, but I'm a good man and won't spoiler, even though I noticed a kinda-plothole. Okay, maybe just this teeny little one: Berry Punch held a panel decorated with hearts for Big Mac. Also, Con Mane for the win, even if he does not, in fact, exist.

Now if you excuse me, I have a head to bang against the wall trying to figure out how to tell less and show more.
