I heard you readers like it when I have chapters waiting in the wings. Good news, then. Last night, I finished the last third of chapter 10 and shot it off to Carni for the usual once-over. A few minor tweaks later and it bears his stamp of approval, which means we have both 9 and 10 queued up for their main pre-reading.
In the meantime, I'll try out something new. If I have chapters queued but not yet ready to be posted, I'll provide the chapter titles for you folks to mull over.

Both chapters have been pre-read by Carni and have returned with excellent feedback. I think you folks will enjoy these two.

I've been on a week-long trip out of state (still am), and have been ill the entire time. I plan to return to pre-reading as soon as it all clears up or I'm back home, whichever comes first. The queue will likely never be this long even when I'm healthy... unless I get lazy somehow.
