Super Special Awesome Love Lost Fun Fact Time

After a nine day long ping-pong session between my inbox and Carni's that was way more productive than it had any right to be, I can announce that chapter 13 has finally passed its initial round of pre-readings.

I know that I oft harp on about the quality check that each chapter goes through, but quite a few times, it's a rather intensive process and hardly as easy as I might make it seem. Using the newly completed 13, let me break down the process.

-Initial draft is sent to Carni.
-Draft returns to myself with thoughts/feedback and, in this case, a framework of ideas for overall chapter structure.
-Idea framework is expanded upon with consideration to relevant feedback. More often than not, this step calls for substantial rewriting of sections.
-Once completed, draft is returned to Carni for a second read.
-Chapter again returns to myself with more feedback.
-This cycle continues between us until a consensus is reached upon the final product.
-Only at this point is the chapter then pushed to Spirit for the necessary grammatical corrections before final publication.

The closed nature of this loop means that there are iterations of chapters that Spirit (and you folks) never even get to see. But, whenever the chapter calls for any sort of heavy rewrite, both myself and Carni make sure that said rewrite is exactly what the situation calls for.

With 13 finally done, all efforts can now be devoted to 14, wherein there will be a nice little surprise for everyone. Yes, I am totally looking at you, Carni.
