An apology and some announcements. · 3:37am Aug 7th, 2013
So, according to my blog, it's been almost six months since I've done anything on this site. I kinda feel like...bad about this. I started a story, then abandoned it and haven't written anything since. I don't like people who do this, and yet here I am, writing this blog and admitting to doing just that. Admittedly, I did have some problems here and there (like a failed motherboard), but realistically speaking, I have no excuses. I have had my new laptop since May. I'm a bad brony.
I recently got home from something completely awesome. I'll give you a hint: we partied so hard we shook the Baltimore Convention Center with the force of a 1.6 earthquake. Yeah, I got to go to BronyCon. I had a blast. And I attended almost every fanfiction panel at the con (including the Hoof of Argon panel, where we got to try our hands at reading godawful fanfiction). The point is, I came away from this convention with a renewed interest and passion for writing.
That being said, an important date (for me, anyway) is quickly approaching: my two year Bronyversary. Between that and this whole "all I want to do is write fanfiction!" thing I've got going on, I've started working on something....special. Hopefully I can have it finished by September 7th and be able to share it with everyone. If not, then I'm going to have a good chunk of it done and post as I deem fit. After that story has finished, I'm going to get back to work on Doctor(s) Whooves (which I had actually started long before David Tennant was announced to be starring with Matt Smith in the Doctor Who 50th Special).
Anyway, that's all I have for now. You may or may not hear from me again before I post my "special" fanfic. If you do, it will either be a blog post or more Doctor Whooves stuff, but only if I finish my other one first.
Again, I'm terribly sorry about how I've been so inactive and everything else.
Here we go.
Keep calm and canter on,
Brian
I understand. Sadly I don't really know when I became a brony. I think it was last October.
Oh yes, Bronycon was fun. Sadly, I arrived to most panels (outside of the Mane Hall ones) too late. They filled up so quickly on Saturday.
My brony b-day is difficult for me to pinpoint. First watched the show in March 2011, but didn't call myself a brony or get involved fandom-wise for at least half a year. Didn't get a fimfic account for a whole year. *sigh* No way to tell my past self to stop procrastinating. Or present self, for that matter .
Good to have you back! Lets see... when did I follow you... OH! From the last stand of the Alicorns. I can't say I read your stuff anymore, but I do support whatever road you pick to follow. Keep on doing your thing and having fun.
