Why the Doctor Whooves Series and the Doctor Whooves Chronicles Will Never Crossover · 12:22am Aug 7th, 2013
I'm usually very careful in terms of giving out information about the future of my stories. But ever since I began writing the DW Chronicles I've got a lot of questions asking about a crossover with my main DW series. And I'm here to say that, sorry to disappoint all of you who were hoping for this, but the Doctor Whooves Series and the Doctor Whooves Chronicles will never crossover; and here's why.
Firstly, the laws of dimensional travel work differently in the two series. In the Doctor Whooves Series, a person traveling between dimensions will remain the same species no matter which dimension they end up in. The reason the Doctor turned into a pony in that series is because he was regenerating while he was passing through the space between his universe and the MLP universe. This caused him to regenerate into a pony. In the Doctor Whooves Chronicles, however, a person traveling between dimensions will change into the dominant species of the dimension that they enter, such as Twilight becoming a human in Equestria Girls when she travels to the human universe. The Doctor in the Doctor Whooves Chronicles is still the 10th Doctor but he's changed into a pony due to traveling to the MLP-verse. The Doctor in the Doctor Whooves Series is an incarnation of the Doctor after the 10th Doctor (as the DW Series picks up during the Doctor's regeneration at the end of The End of Time in the Doctor's cannon). Basically, the Doctor in DWC is the actual 10th Doctor as a pony while the Doctor in DW Series is a pony incarnation of the Doctor that came after the 10th Doctor instead of Matt Smith's Doctor.
The other reason why they won't crossover is because I already have the entirety of the Doctor Whooves Chronicles planned out. The Doctor Whooves Chronicles is going to be much shorter than the Doctor Whooves Series. Now the DWC is not going to be a short series, I'm just saying that it's shorter than the DW Series. I already have all of the episodes and "seasons" of DWC planned out while, on the other hand, I'm still planning out the entirety of the DW Series.
I hope this was able to clear up a few questions that some of you guys had. I'm sorry to disappoint those of you who wished to see this crossover happen but, sadly, it's not. But, don't worry, I have plenty of interesting crossovers planned out for the futures of both series that should make up for that.
Oh, I was kind of hoping for that. Oh well. They still both really good on their own.
