Vision Progress and Seeking Co-Writer · 10:59pm Jul 22nd, 2013

Hey there everypony!

Sadly, since we last spoke, I have continued to have a job... okay, "sadly." Still, combined with the fact that I'm moving to Durham soon, I haven't had a lot of chance to write. But, but! I do bring measurable progress. The introduction and Chapter 1 have passed muster, and Chapter 2 will be drafted this weekend. That means that Daring Do is now a full 6.2% done! Hooray!

Because, I mean... 6.2% is... good... eh heh. I'll just write faster, shall I?

Sadly, there has been no progress on IFIWT. Yes, I know, I promised there would be, and you can feel free to put me in the dunce corner with all the other unreliable writers, but it keeps not working out. It's fully outlined and ready to go, but work or Vision or this or that keeps interrupting, and even when I do have time, the words flow like molasses. It just... doesn't feel right, and I'll admit, I'm having trouble with it.

That's why I'm looking for a co-writer to help me get the rest of IFIWT penned and out the door. Perhaps someone whose horsewords are underappreciated and could use the audience, or who's just a fan. You'd get access to all my outlines and notes of the resolution, though I don't mind changing it to suit your particular tastes, along with full credit and illustrations for what you write. You'd also get to run it past my usual editors and such (plus me!) with full credit given at the start of each new posted chapter.

I feel bad admitting that something I've promised is beyond me, and I need to ask for help, but I think it can go well! Vision was a collaborative project, and that's the best thing I've ever written by a considerable margin. Maybe I work better with other people—maybe you do too! If you think you might be interested, go ahead and send me a private message, I'll get right back to you.

Until then, it's back to writing me for me. Cheers!

I volunteer for that job as co-author of IFIWT. I'm kinda slow in my writing when I'm not feeling it, but I've got about 5 weeks of free time to do whatever, so that shouldn't be much of a problem. Shoot me a PM if you are interested in letting me help. Though don't expect me to reply immediately. It's very late in my time-zone, so I'm going to bed in a few minutes.

It's too bad most people here aren't programmers. We could have turned IFIWT into a large group effort using git to let everyone work separately while you pull in all the story parts/changes you like. Of course, we can still try this if you're interested.

By the way, I'm going to be in Raleigh/Cary for at least nine months after wrapping things up in California. We could spend a few hours discussing the weather over Cafe Carolina or Salsa Fresh, if you're interested.

I have no life, I like your work, I write myself. I'd love to help.

As she gazed up at the sky, a small sigh left her lips. It would be another long night of nothing. What kind of nothing? A small smile flittered onto her lips, a stray wind blowing through her hair. The kind of nothing she enjoyed, the kind that staves off boredom for a time.

She was no one special, pretty average in most fronts. Bit of a speeling problem, but she got by ok. Not that many got her quirks, but she had grown up a lot since the old days when she was young and a little bit slow.

Would someone who had helped her out on some occasions allow her to help him in return?

She would never know.

Sure, I'd like that! Shoot me a PM when you're in town!

Will do. I'll be there in three weeks.
