I have spent a good portion of today wrist-deep in RAW files trying to make heads or tails of how to make dwarves into ponies again in the newest build of Dwarf Fortress (since the mod version I was using previously is not compatible anymore), and I ran across something really neat!
Valikdu here looks to be a wizard of sorts, and with great mystic knowledge, has released a new mod version to place ponies in a world of magma and sadism coding!

So, if you've ever had an interest in learning what "FUN" is all about or perhaps just want to live a day in the shoes of The Development Coordinator, yet had a phobia or general dislike of beards, maybe placing in the creatures of Equestria instead will give you enough reason to check the game out and give it a chance!
In addition, for those who have been interested, but just cannot bring themselves to toil through the experimentation and keybinding menus, this nifty quick-start guide is quite similar to the one I learned how to play from. Just wanting to give some help for new players if they don't have the time to wade through all the guides available.
I remember downloading Dwarf Fortress, and I literally had no idea what to do, so I might have another crack at it later on.

Ah well, I'll have to take a look at your story now. I'll try and post some comments when I do that. :P
1345234 Well, glad you dropped in! If you're a fan of the game, you're sure to be able to spot the dwarfiness that's been masked within this story. I can't say to expect it to be as focused on the game like a succession game (like Boatmurdered), but hopefully it'll still entertain.
