I'd like to encourage you all to read a story that NTSTS just posted by the name of Refrain. He came to me for help in editing it, and this was one of those rare stories that I ended up deeply enjoying, even as I picked apart whatever flaws I could find. In my opinion, it's one of the few fanfics in the fandom that truly deserves the "Sad" tag; there's no contrived drama, overblown emotion, or other blatant emotional manipulation used to create the mood and effect present in the story. Octavia just has a rough, believable life, and while the effect is depressing, the ending (although I won't spoil it) is uplifting in a way I wouldn't have believed possible when I started reading the story.
So yes. While you're waiting on something new from me, I encourage you to check that out. It's fine work.
