Story Time 1: Attempted Prostitution · 7:37pm Jul 10th, 2013
I figured I'd share some tales of hilarity and woe from my tabletop gaming experiences here in no particular chronological order.
Here goes:
So, I'm currently running a home-brew Fallout Equestria game. The setting is many years after the events of the story. At the time that this story takes place, the PCs recently left an island via Skywagon (The Scallywagon, though that is another story) and got intercepted by Enclave remnant forces around the vicinity of Las Pegasus. Their Skywagon is impounded, and the Enclave Bureaucracy (who is hurting for funds at this point) humps a bunch of ridiculous fines on the players.
While the players are working as freelance agents for the Enclave so that they can get their Skywagon back and cut down on some of the fines, one of the players (We'll call him E.) stumbles across a certain book that the Enclave considers "Sedition". This gets him in trouble.
Next session, E. can't make it (Wedding planning, some excuse right?). In typical pre-game futzing around, the players are discussing a certain female player character's (CHA 10, Sex Appeal trait, played by J2, second of the J brothers) bartering antics. Someone comments that she is likely to get arrested for "Attempted Prostitution."
Meanwhile, I'm busy scrapping together a way to remove E.'s character from the picture for the session. What I come up with: While going off alone, (which his character does A LOT) he is arrested by the Enclave and held to be used to convince the other PCs to do another task for them.
So, I announce to the players: "Noname (E's character) is nowhere to be found when you wake up in the morning, but that isn't odd for him."
The response: "Gasp! He's been arrested for attempted prostitution!"
Another of the players, W., says, "I'm going to text him that."
"Your character got arrested for attempted prostitution."
E.'s response: "Fing why?"
