Story Pitch/Idea: Sister · 11:07pm Jul 4th, 2013
Interesting things are abound in the Wverse...
Uh. Euh. This place is cold. Why is it that ponies never bring any lava anywhere...?
Nevermind. My name is Katla, and I'm a logue dragon - or firedrake, as you'd call it. Though most folks tend to call me Cattlefry these days. I swear, it was just once, and in the middle of the mountains, and everydragon seemed to know about it the next morning! What is up with that!?
Ugh. I need to stop getting so heated up over everything...
Anyway. My father died not too long ago. A shame - there were years left in him - but that's that. I may not be fully grown just yet - not by centuries - but any drakeling old enough to be out of the clutch on her own knows not to get attached to others just because of their blood. Still, he left me his cave; and the things inside. And behind the not so modestly sized hoard, I found...something strange.
Behind a great stone door, there was a small chamber - barely large enough for myself to enter, nevermind my father. He was an accomplished mage and rune caster - much like I've always wanted to be - and I he would've used shapeshifting magic to enter; the size of the place also prevented any other dragons from finding it, and drakelings would hardly dare enter his cave on their own. It was, I admit, an excellent way to keep secrets in a place like this.
And what a secret I found.
Apparently, I have a twin. And if my father's runes are to be believed, she is half pony. By extension - horrible truth as it may be - so am I; in hindsight, it makes a dreadful kind of sense. I never knew my mother - I've never been one to ask many questions, really - and my father never told me anything about where he got my egg from.
Which would make sense, seeing as it appears I wasn't born from an egg at all.
Soft yellow where I am shining gold; sweet pink where I am fiery red. Unless ponies change color as they age - or, of course, this is all VERY elaborate plan by somedragon to get me out of my new home. And pegasus wings, I suppose - which means I should try and see if I can't find that fabled cloud city of theirs.
See, I went from being an unimportant drakeling, to being the youngest cave owner in the entire nest; and one with considerable capital on her back, as well. Considerable for an adult dragon, that is; for a drakeling like myself, it's way too much. Guarding it against the rest of the flight would simply put be impossible. Going back to where I'd been, drifting around the nest and the lava lakes with the other drakelings, wouldn't do me any good either; and quite honestly, my pride would never be able to take a blow like that, anyway.
So I spent a few weeks practicing my rune casting, until I managed to create a sealing stone capable of holding the hoard, and another for the little chamber of secrets. Once I was able to take my inheritance with me, I simply up and left. After all, I had very little reason to wait around only to get killed or evicted by some older, stronger dragon looking for easy profit or a new home.
Now I am a lone dragon - half-dragon - on the road, in the sky, free of all bonds. Except the one that keeps me up at night, the one that keeps turning my eyes northward whenever I think about it; the strange, strange need that I've never felt before in my life.
So I am looking for my sister. My yellow, pink, half-pony sister. And I have, honestly, not much of an idea where to start looking.
Does anyone know where she is?
Sometimes you just get inspired, you know.
What do you guys think?

I see great potential in this.
Do it.
Do it NAO
WANT!

Nah, not Nao. I need to finish up Wandering first. Don't want to juggle TOO much at the same time. Besides, this is going to be official Wverse stuff, so I want at least one of those finished before I start another (Master uses Wverse mechanics, but is definitely a spinoff, regardless of viability).
Once Wandering is done, though, this will likely be the next fic on schedule. And I will have prepared adequately, as well - perhaps you might even get a bunch of new chapters when I publish it, instead of just one! Hopefully. :)
In any case, I also need some advice. I was planning on this to be more of a casual sort of story than Wandering, and definitely more so than Master. What do you folks think about this? Does it sound good? Bad? How much action do you want? I mean, given the premise.

Ah well. I guess that makes sense, especially since you've said you're so busy anyway. I eagerly await this though. It sounds like it'll be really neat.

This sounds like it would be a lot of fun, especially given how this will play off Fluttershy's fear of dragons.
As for your action question, I cannot see it being too heavy on action given the setup but I would like to see at least a little bit of ass kicking.
