I return from an unexpected hiatus and bring you crappy presents no one asked for! · 9:52pm Jun 30th, 2013
There was a little over a month between the last time I logged into Fimfiction and today. I hadn't meant for so much time to pass by, but there were a series of Boring Real Life Events (travel, illnesses, etc.) that kind of made June a busy, stressful month. But that's mostly in the past now, and I'll try to be less of a stranger.
I mostly just mention this in case anyone posted a comment or something that they feel is important for me to see. I've done my best in going back through all the notifications to catch up, but I know it's quite likely there's stuff I've missed.
Anyway! The crappy presents I mentioned! Over a year ago, I began a musical project entitled Love Songs in the Key of FiM, which is an album of pony fan music that is entirely comprised of love songs. Each of the possible fifteen Mane Six pairings will receive a song in due course, and I've already written and recorded songs for RainbowPie, RariJack, FlutterDash, AppleDash, TwiPie, RariShy, TwiDash, RariDash and FlutterPie.
After a long period of inactivity, I've finished writing and recording two more songs for this little project. As always, my singing and guitar playing are mediocre, at best, so I make no promises as to the quality of anything here.
TwiJack: "Lovers and Friends"
(YouTube) (SoundCloud)
ApplePie: "(Gonna Have) A Real Good Time"
(YouTube) (SoundCloud)
Entire album, so far, can be found on my SoundCloud page.
You know I've been trying to come up with a good ApplePie parody of John Cougar Mellencamp's Jack and Diane
surprised none else has done it yet
Welcome back!
Gonna listen to them now!
Woo! Crappy presents!

Crappy presents are, clearly, the BEST KIND of presents. I didn't even wrap them, just for extra crappiness.

Hope you like 'em! Singing and guitar-playing are meh, but hopefully the song-writing for both of 'em is passable.

Thanks kindly!

OH MY GOSH. "Jack" and "Diane." That's wonderful, and it needs to happen. (I relistened to the song, just as a refresher, and I think the overall vibe suits ApplePie pretty decently, too.)
