The hiatus on "Lyra's Human 2" ends next Wednesday, so here's the preview you would normally see at the end of this week's chapter.
But first...
I've been thinking about ending the story at a nice, even Chapter 100. I figure floating this balloon now will give people time to come to terms with the idea while there's still a lot of time left. What do you think?
Anyway, here we go...
“It’s coming up tomorrow. That time of the year that I dread. Twice a year, in fact.”
“Christmas sales?” said Derpy, trying to think of something that happened semiannually.
“Ha, no."

Sitting on the bench, Karyn tapped her foot rapidly. “You were wrong. It’s not over. I’ve got to go back tomorrow.”
“You know, there is another option.”
“What’s that? I can’t just ignore it. "

Karyn, in fact, could not have a seat in the chair, because it was nothing like any such she had seen. Most furniture in Equestria was a good analogue of human furniture, and ponies could sit or lie down like humans. But in this case, the ponies clearly felt more comfortable lying prone instead of supine, with their hooves dangling off the sides. It was closer to a massage table

All good things must eventually come to an end. This is one of the best stories on the site! 100 is a nice round (hur-hur! cause of the zeroes) number to end it, SEND IT OUT WITH A BANG! Make people question themselves on why they didn't read it sooner!
yeah, 44 more chapters is fine with me. but, wouldn't 128 be a much rounder number?
also, something that karyn dreads and that happens twice a year, hm? intriguing.

Yes, but 96 would be 3X2^5, and that would also be pretty round. So let's agree on 2^2X5^2.

I guess that's correct. Yeah, 2^2*5^2 is a nice, round number. Anyhow, I'm anxiously awaiting next Wednesday. I bet it's going to be awesome.
