Celestia and Discord Have a Raving Dance Party

Here we are again, sooner than I expected.

I never thought I was going to get asked to riff a fic. I still consider myself quite... unknown among the riffing crew. However, I was asking for a one-shot, non-clop story to riff and the author, who is also a dear friend of mine, sent me his story.

I don't know if this actually helps to cushion the fiasco that's taking place about the lass who refuses to get her stories in any group or riffed in any way, but even if that's not the case, this is something important that has to be said. Fics can be riffed, either good or bad ones. I'm sure I could riff some of SS&E's stories, but I fear that, if I read anything from him, I'll get depressed and quit writing, and I have some projects to work on before that. Stories with issues, be it grammar, characterization or plotholes so big that would make the Grand Canyon look like a paper cut are the most commonly riffed, sure. Stories that have none of those, however, can also be riffed, and probably the resulting riffs would be even funnier, you just have to be able to spot possible jokes between lines. Innuendos, snarky comments or even sex jokes, which are the easiest to find and/or make up.
