Aquaman's Feel-Bad Story Time Hour (Or: At This Point Whatever's Going On with Me and Flurry Heart Is Frankly None of Your Business)

Did you enjoy (in a figurative sense) me writing about Flurry Heart being in a toxic relationship in "And I Hope You Die"? Have you been thinking (in a literal sense), "You know, I bet the result of that toxic relationship's end is going to be that cotton-candy pony princess doing things that would be war crimes if she didn't win the war she crimed in?"

Monophobia Postmortem (Or: I Have Now Released My New Shit and My Fell-Off-Ness Is In a State of Constant Flux)

    "You used to be big."
"I am big. It's the [website] that got small."

(Come on, I've been living literally on Sunset Boulevard for a year and a half now. Gimme just this one bit of referential self-aggrandizement.)

I Ain't Fall Off, I Just Ain't Release My New Shit

That's true, by the way, not just a cheeky two-year-old Lil Nas X reference. I really have been working on lots of stuff over the past year or so: a few TV pilot scripts that I'm generally okay with as learning experiences, some networking-type stuff here in LA with other "pre-WGA" (which is our fun term for "aspiring" [which is our extra-fun

    'Sup

Hey, horsefic folks. How it's hanging?

I hope "in Bellevue" is at least some of your answers, because that's where I'll be in a few hours and will remain through the EFNW weekend. I'll be, as always, six-foot-four and affably daydrunk, so say hi to anyone who meets that description and sooner or later it's bound to be me.

    Regarding Less-Than-Positive Interpretations of Pride

Let's get a quick disclaimer out of the way before we really get going: I don't like foalcon. By "foalcon" here, I refer specifically to M-rated stories that depict characters who are very clearly meant to be minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and/or adults. Not a fan of it! I find it gross on a personal level, I think it's morally reprehensible that a site of this

Concerning That Whole Thing Where You All Probably Thought I Was Dead But I Really Wasn't · 4:12am Mar 25th, 2012

All right, confession time: the biggest reason why Chapter 6 of Breaking Bricks took so ridiculously long was (as is usually the case with things like this) my own stupidity. Although in my defense, this one can also be equally blamed on other things too. In any case, since I have a tendency to prattle and I don't want to drag this out, here's my shortened-as-much-as-possible explanation for why me and quick updates have not been friends these past few months.

Basically, I had two problems: lack of time to write and lack of motivation (though not in the way you'd probably think). The first issue is pretty straightforward. Between playing two (technically three) varsity sports, the borderline-absurd amount of work my senior year of high school has been throwing at me, and all other such IRL things, I had very little time to devote to anything personally enjoyable at all, let alone writing.

The second problem, though, is multi-faceted. I always go through a writing slump during winter, because a very large part of my overall inspiration for creative things is derived from warm sunshine, cool breezes, a pair of shorts and an evening perfectly suited for jogging with no shirt on...essentially, all the things a Virginia winter loves to deny me. So there's that. The other thing, though, is the aforementioned big honkin' project I started up in early January, the outlining process for which took two months and completely hijacked my muse for that whole period.

My deal with myself was that I wouldn't let myself post anything for that new WiP until I finished Chapter 6. After 40 pages of outlining and over 25,000 words of writing, though, I was starting to get tired of not having anything to post. So I went ahead and came back to Chapter 6 this week, and finished final edits today...actually, yesterday by now. And therein lies the stupid bit.

So that's the dealio. I think I'm getting pretty close to posting for my new WiP, and I'm not entirely sure what I'll focus on first after that. Eventually, I'll try to get it so I alternate chapters for each story, but I may focus more on one project or the other depending on which one I'm more interested in at any given time. This last week, I was more interested in Breaking Bricks, so...here we are. My humblest apologies for the wait, and I promise that once college starts, I'll have a lot more time to devote to doing whatever the hell I want, which should hopefully include a lot more writing.

No you won't . If you're doing that many sports now and you want to do a bunch in college and you want decent grades and you want a real social life you had best be real good at time management. Buuuuuuut anyway yay Breaking Bricks! :pinkiehappy:

Just glad you have time to update at all with how busy you are.
