5 Things I Have Learned From Dyeing My Hair Pink

1. Items around my house have spontaneously also turned pink. Namely the shower, my towel, and my pillow.
2. Odd looks from the over 40 set have increased, as have high fives from the under 30's.
3. Despite being really excited for dyeing my hair, I find myself very nervous at the fact that, for the first time in my life, something makes me stand out in a crowd.

Hello all,

The hour is late - or early depending on your perspective - and I am gripped by the urge to talk about nothing in particular. Some may accuse me of trying to garner attention, and they would likely be correct in this regard.

Personally I like to believe I'm grappling with my Eriksonian Generativity vs. Stagnation crisis several decades early, and am gripped by a compulsion to share my life experiences.

Today's random advice: try shaving with a straight razor!

I do it, and I love it. Yes it can be a bit tricky, but it gets you a rather close shave. Plus you get to feel awesome by using a deadly weapon to shave.

Now in all fairness, I've never attempted to shave anything other than my face, so I'm not sure how well this advice floats across the gender line... But hey, why not give it a go?

Now it can be a bit expensive to get started, but you can find some great shaving kits and razors on Etsy.com. So yeah, um, have fun!
