Status Update · 11:01pm Mar 21st, 2012
As most of you probably know, Mass Effect le Third came out on March 6th. Thanks to that and my rush to play through the game before I left for a Spring Break cruise the following week, I got little to no writing done on chapter 14 (Only 2000 words at the time were written down). As I was on a ship for a week, I also did not manage to write anything during that time. Thus I stood at 2000 words still.
This week has been devoted to getting back into the swing of things, so there won't be an update unless a miracle happens and I write the next 8000-9k words over the course of today. Unlikely to happen. Still, I will be working on it from now until next week and it should get done. Key word there being 'should', as I have a test to study for and am running a monthly writing competition over on the Gears of War forums (my other fan fiction universe, which I love dearly. Also, EPIC gave me a book signed by Karen Traviss and two of the producers in the game company, along with a shirt, for my contributions to the community there. Win!) Plus some other things which I'm sure none of you wish to hear about (as they involve school life and my degrees!)
But all was not lost on the creative front during Spring Break. I drew something on the cruise. Somepony, in fact, somepony new that you've just met. Her name is Captain Skycrasher. I translated her to a digital medium as best I could and this is the result:
