Some quick notes about Doctor Whooves · 2:32pm Apr 20th, 2013
Firstly, up until this point I've only done Daring Do stories for awhile. While I am still interested in Daring Do as a character and series, I have decided to take an extended break from writing Daring Do for the time being. In the meantime, I am writing stories about Doctor Whooves.
1. The Doctor
The Doctor in my stories is the 9th incarnation, so his stories take place previous to the popular fanon version of the Doctor, which is the brown one and resembles David Tennant's 10th Doctor. The mannerisms, appearance, and general attitude of the Doctor from my stories are based around Christopher Eccleston's 9th Doctor.
2. Derpy Hooves
Derpy seems to be the go-to companion that accompanies the Doctor in his travels in popular fanon, but I thought I should highlight a few important points. First of all, Derpy isn't a ponified version of Rose Tyler (at least not in the ones I'm writing), I don't really intend to have her fawning over the Doctor like Rose did, but in some aspects she will fill a similar role to this Doctor as Rose did to Eccleston's. She also is not a permanent companion. After all, none of the companions on Doctor Who are permanent, so things will be shaken up occasionally. There WILL be other companions at some point.
3. Storyline
I plan on taking a very different direction on the 9th Doctor's story than shown in Doctor Who. There are some iconic parts that I'm planning on carrying over (ie the last Dalek(s) or the appearance of "Bad Wolf"), but don't expect these to be handled the same exact way they were on the TV show. That's right, "Bad Wolf" doesn't mean what it meant on the TV show in this case. I intend to take some of the cool things from 9's era, but use them in different ways and add a lot of original story.
