I have been blessed and humbled by the support of this fandom. I never thought my chickenscratch I scribbled on the back of a digital napkin would ever see the light of day, and yet, here we are. Some 400+ of you kindly thumbs-uppers and gold-starrers saw fit to slap a Follow on me. All five of my major collections have been Featured stories here at FiMFiction. Someone volunteered custom artwork (in progress). Someone wrote a side story set in my little universe. Someone did readings of my work. I thought that list of kudos was the hat trick, the coup de grace, the top of the mountain, and I never expected to see more.
Then I got a strange request from a reader. Strange, I thought, because let's face it - who would want a bound hardcopy of my collected works?
Oh. Wow. OH WOW. Again I underestimate this repeatedly wonderful fandom! Bulbasaur printed, glued, sanded, and book-bound my collected works, something I hadn't even done for myself.
Ignore the timestamp in the photos, this was no joke. And no, you can't have a copy - this was a one-off that he gifted to a friend.
I've seen my name in print before - sort of - but nothing like this. This was unexpected and delicious, like opening a variety sampler box of chocolates and realizing they're all dark chocolate caramel with not a single sour cherry or coconut in sight.
The reformatting alone on this was amazing, and until I saw this I never realized just how many words I'd put out there.
So once again I find myself speechless before the awesomeness of my followers. You rock, you thrill me, you amaze me, and I can only hope I keep being worthy of every reading, story, artwork, and hardcopy you throw at me. I promise I'll do my best, because you cats have damn sure done yours!
