Face it Flutterguy, you hit the jackpot!

I have just been awarded the excellent honor of having someone ask to use one of my fics for a dramatic reading. Needless to say, I sqeeing roughly 75% as hard as when I found out David Tennant was in the 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who (Trust me, you have no idea how much of a compliment that is). This awesomeness comes courtesy of

5 Things I Have Learned From Dyeing My Hair Pink

    1. Items around my house have spontaneously also turned pink. Namely the shower, my towel, and my pillow.

    2. Odd looks from the over 40 set have increased, as have high fives from the under 30's.

    3. Despite being really excited for dyeing my hair, I find myself very nervous at the fact that, for the first time in my life, something makes me stand out in a crowd.

    New Doctor Hooves Story Idea

I had a lot of fun writing "Raggedy Doctor Hooves" that a new idea popped into my mind. Sort of how "Raggedy Doctor Hooves" was a re-imagining of "The Eleventh Hour," may I present an excerpt of my latest idea, Working title: "By Any Other Name":

Check it Out, a Collaboration Account!

What were we supposed to do? The ideas came so fast and there were just too many to just trade off hosting duties!

... Wait, you came in late? Do you not follow NintendoGal55? Oh, that last part was important. You see we've been work-shopping ideas for collaborations, and we came up with about a million so we decided why not make a separate account to host them all!

I Have a Confession to Make... · 5:01am Apr 16th, 2013

Here it goes. My username is Flutterguy89, and I am a... Floridian.

Yes, yes I know my bio says I live in Chicago (and that is 100% true), but my dear readers I grew up outside of the city of Tampa, FL and you can't really shake growing up in the Sunshine State. I think it's like Stockholm Syndrome. You know what I miss? Hurricane parties and Publix grocery stores! Those were so awesome! You know what isn't as cool? Blizzard parties. Unless there's thunder-snow, that's pretty badass. But I digress.

I am writing this because my next story idea is to create a Tim Dorsey inspired madcap mystery/thriller joy ride of craziness. Tim Doresy, for those who don't know, is an amazing Florida author who pens the tales of spree killer and rabid Florida history buff Serge A. Storms and his inebriated sidekick Coleman. These novels are amazing and they have that wonderful Florida crazy all up in them, ensuring the a place in my heart as some of my favorites.

For example, the first line of his newest offering reads: "Florida. The hookers were slap-fighting a Hare Krishna up at the interior section when the bullet came through the windshield."

So yeah, how could I not? My thoughts are currently Surprise as Serge (was going to do Pinkie but the whole Pinkie as a killer thing is getting a bit stale in my mind, I mean isn't that what everyone does -shrug-) and Berry Punch as Coleman. Here's hoping I actually get around to this but hey it could be awesome! To paraphrase Serge: Equestria, a full tank of gas, and no appointments!

Well, whadda know! I've lived in Miami my whole life!

1012343 My Aunt, Uncle and cousins live down in Miami, great place, but I don't get to visit it as much as I'd like.

1012455 Riverview, so east of Tampa proper :ajsmug:

You?

1012347 Well, from my exprencies, and this is most likely just me, but Miami's city life never struck me as particuarly awesome. Just your average beach side city.

Maybe it's because I live like a two hour drive to the beach or something. I live in the releative boondocks.

Redlands. That's out past Homestead.

1012566 It's pretty near the Brandon are, exit 250 on I-75. I love St. Pete though, I always make time to visit the Dali Museum whenever I'm back home.

1012559 *whistle* Past Homestead? My Aunt and Uncle live a little north of Miami proper (Miami Shores to be specific). Can't say I've been out that way much, except I must have passed by a couple times because I have been to Key Largo

1012677 it's pretty awesome, even the building itself is a tribute to Dali's surrealism.
