Mmm. Sorry if I end up rambling non-sense.
Well, in my opinion, you need to avoid being clichéd at this point. You know, complete acceptance, insta-pairing (don't even know if you're planning that), terror of humanity, things like that.
You also need some sort of main storyline to work with, in which 'us' actually has an objective to strive for, and not just mindlessly hanging around the ponies.
Do we want acceptance? Do we want to get back? Do we despise them? Do we fear them? etc.
Of course, you could always add an antagonist and make the story more interesting by adding a direct conflict. (If you're going for this make it original, don't take the 'chosen one' route).
Well, those were just tips. As for ideas.
Do the ponies have any myths about humans? (or maybe someone as old as Celestia knows about them?)
If so, maybe make an organization made years ago to keep the 'human filth' from returning. (Torchwood style, and we have an antagonist that is not necessarily evil)
Maybe instead of storyline, make the story a bundle of 'slice of life' story meant to build the character of the protagonist (which would be hard, as it is in 2nd person).
Don't be afraid to introduce some OCs to add some events to your story. They could end up being part of your main cast.
Those were all for the long run. Right now, the story needs continuing of the scene you left it on.
Get into the library, get healed while being interrogated,(decide either ponies are afraid of, or just somewhat hesitant to befriend him). Add some background to your character, and the initial reactions of the Mane Six.
He will probably be staying with one of the ponies, decide on who, and work your dialogue and chapter based on that. From then on, you have a blank canvas to work on, depending on the initial reactions.
