    A Realization

    THIRDSTRING'S LAW

Near-future science fiction tends to overestimate technological progress.

Conversely, far-future science fiction tends to underestimate technological progress.

    Cloudsdale
    0840 hours

The situation was rapidly turning into a something out of an obscura-fueled nightmare. An angry mob of flying horses were carrying Macer up a flight of white marble steps, spitting out paranoid slogans and chants with zeal that would make a Redemptionist jealous.

    Finally some progress

The next installment of Friendship is Sanctioned is in the rough draft stage--now it's just a matter of polishing things up while I consult my trusty editor slave friend. It's currently at over 7,000 words, making it firmly the longest chapter yet. Hopefully this will make up for some of the long wait.

    ALL THIS PAIN AND DEVASTATION

My basic thoughts on EqG, reposted from Equestria Daily. This is the essence of what I have to say on that subject.

One of the biggest gripes I have about all this has to do with the movie's premise, as it relates to what they aimed to do with this movie.

++INCOMING TRANSMISSION++
Citizens of Manehattan, look out your windows. I know how much you want to stay away from them. I know how much you want to keep hiding--but please, look out your windows. Just once.

What do you see?

If you live in Griffontown, you might see the beasts that prowl the streets like two-legged timberwolves. If you live in Cantering Park, you might see the machine that shakes the ground at night. If you live in Lime Square, you might see the place where this nightmare began.

My home is in Lime Square. Exactly one week ago, I saw the first wave of invaders. I saw the way they crushed and burned everything in sight. I heard the way they laughed. I could only cry as I lost my three best friends: Latchkey, Honeypot, and Ruby Red.

But there was something else I saw that day. I saw two of the invaders turn their weapons against their comrades. They destroyed at least three squads before vanishing into the rubble. I don't know why they did it, but I'm grateful to those two turncoats. Thanks to them, I realized that our enemies are just as afraid of the end as we are. They were terrified when the betrayal started. Confused, as though they couldn't understand why they weren't winning.

Now I know how weak the invaders really are. A new chapter in this war is starting, citizens. This is where our enemies start to lose. This is where their bases start to go silent, one by one. This is where we smash their war machines to bits.

This is where the invaders start to gulp and tremble. This is where their beady eyes go wide, and where their hairless skins grow slick with sweat. This is where they look at each other and scream, "No! This isn't supposed to happen!"

This is where we start to win.

My name is Diamond in the Rough, leader of the First Resistance Brigade. Look out your windows, citizens of Manehattan. The time to hide has come to an end.

Teasing a new story are we?:pinkiehappy:

Edit: Of course not. You are teasing an upcoming exathelite invasion aren't you?

Both, actually. I'm currently running a Dark Heresy campaign based after Friendship is Sanctioned. Future blog posts will summarize the sessions, and possibly adapt them into a side-story.
