Blog Post Thing 2: Electric Boogaloo

Another blog . . . post . . . thing!

So, some of you very astute individuals may have noticed that chapter 5 of A Magical Storm is still missing. I can't think of any sort of apology for that, so I will instead assault you with a flurry of reasons (see Excuses.) as to why that is.

1. Probably the most pertinent reason(excuse) is that I am an easily distracted man-child. I love video games, that probably isn't surprising to a lot of you, video games rule, but it goes a LONG way to explaining why an update hasn't happened. I promise to do better in curbing my rabid game-lust in order to bring you more updates.

2. At the time I was actually working on chapter 5, school was also happening, and it turns out that forgoing studies to instead write stories about technicolor ponies doesn't go over so well with the delightful people who still elect to feed me.

3. This is going to be the reason why you won't be seeing an update for awhile. You see, I had originally planned for A Magical Storm to be the first part in a three part series, with the second (Moon Fallen) and third (Lineage) to be set a number of years after where the show was. I had a lot of the framework for the second written out, and work on the first was going nicely, if a little slow. But then, the season 3 finally happened, and as you can imagine, it caused me to have to re-work a lot if I wanted it to work in the canon. So, it is with a heavy heart that I must do this, but A Magical Storm will be going on hiatus until season 4 so that I can get a better idea of what the story will be.

With all that out of the way, lets move on to some news-like things. First, I wrote ANOTHER story for a contest, this one, however, did much better. Abandoned but Not Unloved is a short one-shot I wrote for the Unicon writing contest they were doing. They were going to narrow the selection down to 75, then send it to EQD, who would narrow it further to 10, and mine made the cut! So, if you want, go read that, it's my first attempt at light shipping, that said, if you don't like AppleDash, don't read it, go watch the show, realize that you're wrong, THEN read it.

Second, kind of a side-update to the A Magical Storm thing. No matter how the season premier goes, princess or not, I will still finish those three stories, it just might take longer to work on if it stays permanent.

Last, but certainly not least. I am working on a new project while we wait for season 4, that I will hopefully conclude before the new season. Kingdom Hearts: Magic of Friendship, which, as you can probably tell, is a Kingdom Hearts/My Little Pony crossover, complete with Twilicorn goodness. You should expect to see the first chapter late March to early April depending on my schedule (and my ability to drag myself away from KH long enough to write about it). So hopefully you will all enjoy that!
