No, you can't borrow my Mystical Orb of Fate's Destiny · 6:29pm Feb 25th, 2013
So last August, in Bronygeddon, I wrote about a pony convention that, falling short of funds, turned to the fans to raise money. Now, apparently, Las Pegasus Unicon has the same thing happening. If this "Double Rainboom" episode that's coming out next month starts off with Pinkie Pie greeting the humans, remember, you heard it here first.
Maybe you are just smart enough to see treads that are most possible? Other than tooting your own horn, do you think they are going to need more exposure to get the message out? I haven't read your story yet so I do not what is at stake here.
Mystical Orb of Fate's Destiny: What color is it because I have a Mystical Orb of Luck's Fortune in my hand and I wonder if they are a matching pair? Mines turns all colors of the rainbow starting at red, ending at purple and going back to red.
Glad to know I'm not the only person who has written a story about what a convention would be like after the Earth shifts.
(Though it's not a pony story. It's set in the Tomorrowlands Universe, playing urban fantasy a little straighter than brony shifting.)
What happened at Las Pegasus, from what I can tell, is a little alarming. More so than what happened in your story — since the fundraising was an outside group frantically trying to get cash for the VAs and guests, rather than the con organizers themselves (I haven't been able to find any solid information about where they were during this process, and none of their website/twitter/fb/etc have been updated since mid-weekend). Allegedly, the con was kicked out of the hotel during the convention (!) on Sunday. Solid information has been remarkably hard to find.
