I'll be going, but probably only for Saturday, due to not having a room. The friend I was going to room with had to back out for real-life reasons, so I'll be day-tripping only, unless by some miracle I find someone else with a room who can share some of it with me.
Anyway, my badge name will be CLAVDIVS, same as every year, so if you're there and you spot me feel free to say hi. And if you can hook me up with a place to sleep for the con... I'll let you have a peek at what I have so far for the next chapter of Kraken. :D

Speaking of, progress had stalled out for a while due to sucky and depressing real-life reasons (primarily economic, but immensely stressful), but those seem to be past. As such, I'm feeling better and creative again, and I'm starting to open up the rusty gates of my brain and get the words flowing again. Can't promise a date, but I can tell you that I do this because I enjoy it, and I want this story to be written, so I'm not just plodding along out of obligation. So one day or another, I'll finish it.

Indeed. I started using it as an internet handle after a couple friends of mine bestowed it upon me as a nickname, having been inspired by the BBC production of I, Claudius. We've both struggled with severe speech impediments, and had our intelligence underestimated for it.
